Title: Psalm 119 – Sin and Shin

Scripture: Psalm 119:169 – 176

God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:

→ The last topic for chapter 119 and I can say that this chapter ended with a bang!  It has the greatest truth of all...the most valuable too - and that is the truth of God's presence/word with us.  Look at how this author longs for God in his life.  How God in control of him as God putting His hand to steady us.  Because we are truly shaky at all times and without God, we tend to break, fall, or fail.  So God's hands keep us steady in life and His words is our counsel to live the life we ought to live.  I love verse 174, when the author said, "I'm homesick, God for your salvation; I love it when you show yourself"  This is what we ought to experience or feel at all times.  The hunger and homesickness when away from the Lord...the love and excitement when God shows Himself to us!  May we develop this mindset and passion in our hearts so that everyday we long for God's presence and love at all times.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, glorious Father and amazing Saviour!  Today we celebrate Father's day so today I celebrate You!  Lord thank You because You are the Father of all and despite of the absence of my own father in my life now, You have filled it in and satisfied me.  Thank You Jesus that You made it possible for me to have You.  Stir in me the passion to desire and long for You each day of my life.  Give me the longing to seek for Your word and presence at all times.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
