Scripture: Psalm 119:81 – 88

God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:

→ For those who are in a great challenge today, this is the message for you.  This author who seems to be in a great affliction...the author spoke of persecutions, being trap, almost wiped out, in short, at the edge of death or eliminated or defeated, So in the life of this author, he was in a difficult situation where it seems like the enemy is winning and he is losing his life soon.  Yet despite of this, he declared and remained faithful to God's words.  Knowing that in His words, his life is preserve.  He spoke of a longing for God's salvation, recognizing that only God can save him in this time of need.  He sought for comfort from the Lord's promise yet even if he doesn't see the hope or the comfort...his commitment to remain steadfast in obeying the law of the Lord or not forgetting God's decrees remain.  We can learn a lot from this author.  He is teaching us today that our commitment to follow and obey the law of the Lord does not depend on our circumstances or comfort or present situation.  Even in times of defeat or hopelessness, we ought to remain true in obeying the word of the Lord.  That's our commitment should be!  Hallelujah!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for reminding me that following or obeying Your Word is not dependent on how I feel or what my condition is.  It is a commitment until the end even if things don't seem to be going good in our lives.  Help me Lord to remember this and to see that it can be done!  Give me the strength Lord to be able to do this.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
