Title: A Pilgrim Song Of David.
Scriptures: Psalm 124:1 - 8
God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Indeed, God is our help! In a time when things are just spiralling down and new rules come into place, replacing the old ones just because man thought it was good. A few days ago, June 26 (Friday) to be more specific, U.S. Supreme Court ruled to legalized same sex marraige all across the country. People were celebrating and even lighting up the while house with rainbow colors. At an age where the past is unfolding once again, what can we do? America has been the number 1 influential country in the world. It is been said that whatever the U.S. wears, everybody follows; whatever the U.S. cooks, all other countries eats...so this new change coming into place in the U.S. soil, will definitely impact the rest of the world too. We've heard people from other countries now coming out to declare their gender without shame. Just this morning, my sister told me that "Monique Wilson"one of the Miss Saigon's singer with Lea Salongga, came out and declared she's lesbian. So now that the world is changing and it is drastically evolving into something that it should not be...what can we do? Well, today's chapter is such a comfort and answer to our concerns. Here we see, David pronouncing to the world that without God, they would have been devoured. So today, we rest in the knowledge that God is with us and He will protect us in this chaotic world. So we just focus our eyes on Him. Without Him, our lives will drift away and we will be consumed by our enemies but God didn't go off and leave us...He didn't abandon us defenseless, in fact, our enemies' grip was broken and we're set free by God Himself. Truly, God's strong Name is our help, the same God who made heaven and earth. So let us be secured and assured with that truth in us.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your words of comfort and security. Thank You because today, You reminded me that You are my help and You are my protection. Despite of the changes in the world, I can be assured and secured knowing that You who made Heaven and Earth is my help in this dark place. Thank You Jesus for You are my God and Savior at all times. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
