Title: A Song Of Ascents.

Scriptures: Psalm 126:1 - 6

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

What an amazing promise and hope our words for today is.  Psalm 126 is filled with hope, as the writer spoke of what it was when God restored them back from their struggles.  Now, again this topic seems to be so fitting at this time.  Every day, when I logged in to Facebook, I can see so many posts about the different opinions and facts of natural marraiges vs same-sex marraige.  Well, It's a hot topic right now as the ruling just happened a few days ago.  But as I read into the posts, I can't help but see what the future will be if this continues.  It's just so messy and complicated.  One person speaks of his freedom of speech so he should be allowed to voice out his opinion and beliefs in natural marriage and his oposition with same-sex marriage.  The other will then speak out of discrimination and inequality for those who speaks out for the right to speech and beliefs.  I mean, reading through the posts, is giving me a headache.  Because there seems to be no neutral ground.  Either you are for or against a specific group.  And when this continues, then the division will be visible and it will just become wider, driving men away from each other and creating a huge barrier between them.  Now, if this is how things will be in the future, I won't be surprised when hate starts creeping in to the hearts of the people.  So as I try to see where we're heading to, with my own human/logical thinking, the only road I see is chaos and I can see our future like the ones I see in TV shows such as The walking dead, where people are hiding and trying to protect themselves from Zombies, but in our time, it will be us protecting and hiding and stealing, killing, fighting against ourselves.  This is really sad.  But today, God has brought things back to life as He showed me Psalm 126.  Here the author speaks of restoration and the joy of satisfaction when God restores His people.  All the nations will know that God restores us and we will be filled to our satisfaction.  Amazing!  So today, despite of the possible horrible future I see with my human eye, I want to look pass it and see the beauty of God's miracles of restorations in our land today.  This really puts a smile on my face, knowing that I can choose to see the life God restored, where my mouth is filled with laughter and my tongue with songs of joy.  This is the future I am longing for.  And yes, maybe, the future I see with my own eyes, may still happen, but I can be comforted and secured of the future that God revealed where He restored us back.  So whatever future there will be for us, I know that the future where God restored His people will come to pass and I long for that future to come!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You because You are truly a God of restoration.  Thank You because Your words are true and I can hold on to them and stand in faith on them and I will not be disappointed.  Lord thank You because Your words speak of restoration and I long for that day for the world I'm living it.  It is chaotic and messy and complicated and at times, my human  eye/mind, can't see any hope yet in a dark future, You give hope.  You give life.  So I hold on to that light You give Lord and I know that it will keep me going even in the darkest times of my life here on earth.  Thank You.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
