Title: Psalm 119 - Teth

Scripture: Psalm 119:65 – 72

God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:

→ Wow what an amazing revelation!  Here we find Teth, who seeks to be taught by God.  He sought teaching, asking God to teach him knowledge and good judgment.  Clearly, this author recognize that without God we have no knowledge or good judgment.  He declared God is good and whatever He does is good so he sought for God to teach him His decrees so he can obey it more.  But one thing that caught my heart is found in verse 71, the author said, "it was good for me to be afflicted, so that I might learn Your decrees."  Can anyone of us say the same thing?  This author recognizes  the value of his afflictions that everything that causes him pain or hurt is a process of teaching him God's decrees.  Do we see our afflictions or problems in the same way?  We should.  God teaches us things daily and many times, our problems are there to teach us a lesson, but let us seek God's guidance so we can learn the lesson that God wants us to learn and not something else.  This author values God's words more precious that silver and gold.  Again, let us see God's words as life...source of life!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, what a great and marvelous revelation!  I am amazed to see how every day You teaches me and shows me Your word.  Open my eyes clearly that I may understand and know Your word by heart.  Lord help me to dwell in You each day so that whatever afflictions I get, I would see its purpose and will learn the lessons You want me to know through it.  Help me to be grateful at all times Lord and give me the heart to learn Your heart every day.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
