Title: Psalm 119 - Tsadhe

Scripture: Psalm 119:137 – 144

God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:

→ Today we learn the importance of knowing and understanding both in heart and mind that God is RIGHT!  His laws are true and right!  He always do what is Right and His decisions are RIGHT ON TARGET!  Why the emphasis?  Well, because whether we admit it or not, although we know that God is right, we still tend to do what we think is right rather than what God says is Right!  What do you mean?  I do what's right?  I give to the poor, I read the Bible, I pray, I go to church...I obey...really?  obey?  Partially maybe but not all.  The simplest example I can think of is loving your enemies.  This is one of the hardest word of truth to follow.  How can you love someone who has done nothing but hurt or pain you?  Yes I can forgive but forget?  Oh no, that's out of the question.  I'm sure you're getting what I mean here.  But the truth is no one can argue with God's choices or decisions or commands or words because they are RIGHT!  No matter how we try to analyze or break it down, even if we do not understand it...the truth remains that it is right!  So why not make our lives easier and follow?  The author even continued by assuring us that His promise has been tested through and through.  Even if we cannot prove it or understand what God has said...it has been proven and tested time and time again.  It doesn't need your confirmation or approval...it approves and confirms itself!  The author even emphasize and declared that God's revelation is the only truth!  Now many would question this especially those with high IQ and tends to scrutinize every word (I’m guilty of this).  How can you truly be sure unless you have proven it or understand it...are you saying to blindly obey and follow?  Not at all!  We are talking about a revelation from the Lord here not something someone teaches or an idea that our minds concatenate.  We are talking about the word of the Lord, His revelation!  Every revelation is upholded by God's words!  So it is back up with scriptures and spiritual works from God Himself.  There will be no confusion when you received a revelation from God, peace will inhabit your whole being and there will be no question of its origin even if at times, we fail to understand the truth of the revelation.  That's why this author also wrote the importance of asking God to help us understand His word so we can live to the fullest.  In summary, God's words is truth, whether we understand it or not, it is RIGHT!  So why not follow what is RIGHT so we can live to the fullest?  - Make sense right?

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful lesson today.  Help me Lord to understand Your word that I may follow it and live my life to the fullest.  Help me to understand that no matter what, my life should be dependent to the leading of Your word.  Yesterday, I learned about Your Word as not only the source of life, but direction and instructions.  Help me Lord to seek those instructions and live it through in my life that I may bring glory to Your Name.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
