Scripture: Psalm 119:121 – 128

God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:

→ Today we learn about the pain of breaking the law of the Lord.  This is an author who is passionate with God's words that the breaking of it causes him suffering.  In a time when he cannot see his salvation or the promise of God to the righteous, his heart only seeks for one thing...for God!  For the Lord to deal with him according to His love and to continually teach him with His decrees.  Now in a time when what we see is the opposite of what the Lord says and it seems like the truth is the lie and the lie is the truth, instead of doubting or being confused, this author sought for more teaching of the Law of the Lord when it is the law of the Lord that is in question because he is not able to see the truth with his eyes.  Are we this committed?  To stand firm in the word even if everything points to it as a lie?  Is our love to God's words as strong as this author's?  We ought to rethink our passion for God's words and ultimately for God because God and HIs words are one!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for YOur amazing word!  Thank You because at times when we fail to see Your promises, we tend to slack off or waver yet today, YOu have reminded us to stand to the truth at all times and believe in faith.  To continually learn and study Your word even if the whole world questions it.  Help us Lord to have the same passion and love for Your word.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
