TITLE: For the Director of Music, Of David.
Scripture: Psalm 11:1 - 7
God’s Message / God’s Commands / God’s Promises:
→ David in this chapter was reiterating again and again that God is his refuge and in Him, he is safe! So no matter what the wicked says, no matter what threat they throw on him, David stood still because he knows God is watching over him and observing everyone on earth from His heavenly throne in His holy temple. God examines the righteous but to the wicked, he hates and not just hates them but hates them with passion. Now, have you seen a man in passion? He is full of energy, unstoppable, and focus. If man can do so much with passion, think what God can do with it! So fear God and do not become wicked like the rest of the fools on earth. For God truly hates the wicked, He has set that truth from the beginning of times until the end, He is not pleased with the wicked and according to David, the Lord hates them with passion. The Lord will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur to them and there's no way out. We ought to remember which side we choose each day and know that judgment comes to the wicked in time and when it comes, there's no running away from it. For the Lord is righteous, He loves justice and we, the upright will see His face. Rejoice in the hope of seeing our Lord face to face soon :)
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, amazing Father and wonderful God! I am so happy that You are my safe refuge in times when the enemies is throwing his attacks on me. Help me Lord to be like David who never wavered and remained faithful and firm in You. Help me to have the same heart and the same confidence in You like David did. Help me to remember that in everything, You are my safe refuge! You observes and examines us all and You will judge the wicked soon. Give me a reminder always of this that I may choose the right side each day. Help me to wake up with the joy in my heart knowing that we will soon see You face to face. I am excited Lord but I will admit, I am also a little afraid. But take away the fear Lord and give me the same confidence David had, the certainty and assurance of His trust and faith in You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
