TITLE: The Decree of Darius

Scripture:  Ezra 6: 1 - 22

God’s Message / God’s Commands / God’s Promises:

→ Wow!  I mean, I am greatly moved with this chapter.  I mean reading the decree of Darius was just amazing.  Just the previous chapter we found out that Tattenai sending a letter to Darius about some of the people of Judah still working on the building of the temple.  Possibly his intention was to put a stop into it but instead God used the devil’s plan and turned it to the good of everyone because now Darius issued a decree to complete the temple and take note of verse 6, where it was written that King Darius even commanded Tattenai and the other officials who were opposing to it to stay away!  Amazing!  Not only that, verse 8 to 10 even declared that all their expenses must be taken care of for the work.  Hallelujah!  King Darius even declared that whoever defies his command, their house will be made a pile of rubble.  What an amazing turn of event!  Clearly this is a classic example of God turning bad into good.  The devil meant it for man’s failure or defeat but God turned it around to show His Glory!  Hallelujah!  And so the building of the temple was completed and the temple was dedicated to God with joy and celebration!  Praise God!  After the said completion of the temple,Passover was celebrated and it was filled with joy for God made it so.  He changed the heart of the King of Assyria in the completion of the building of His temple!  Glory to God!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, great and awesome God of all.  The one and only True God of Heaven and Earth.  Thank You for Your love.  This chapter again shows Your great commitment to Your people and also the power of Your word.  Truly, no matter what happens, Your word will always come to pass.  Your word is not dependent on men but on You Glory and power and so it will always come to pass no matter what.  Lord thank you for such a great and valuable lesson.  May I hold on to Your word at all times and reveal to me God the truest and purest meaning of Your word.  Correct me if i needed correction and direct me to the correct path that I may have a clear understanding of Your word and of who You are truly.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
