TITLE: Job’s Final Words To His Friends

Scripture:  Job 27:1 - 23

God’s Message / God’s Commands / God’s Promises:

→ Job's final words written in Chapter 27 were words of a stubborn and proud man.  Though his words were somehow true.  His lips did not say anything wicked nor his tongue uttered lies because he did speak of the truth about his case however purely based in his own perception only and did not consider the thoughts of what others spoke of.  His words in this chapter spoke of God making his life bitter however he remained unhinged in his belief of his innocense.  And then he proclaimed the true enemy.  He said that his enemy is the wicked.  His adversary like the unjust.  So he spoke of his enemy as the wicked who will face judgement before God in time.  And even went on saying the fate of his enemies  How they will suffer and ending their fate in the sword. So by this time, Job chose one to blame, his enemy, and proclaimed the future that awaits his enemy for the things that he did.  Looks like Job was confessing or prophesying the fate of his enemy, the fate of the devil.  

This is something we ought to learn from Job.  In the first chapters, Job was at a point of his life when he was somehow putting a finger to God but I believe that in this chapter, JOb realized that God is not the enemy and pointed out that his adversary is and its fate is the sword.  It seems like Job is waking up to the reality that God is not his enemy in this chatper.  May we all remember that our enemy is not God but He is our saviour from whatever pit we fell into.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, help us to never point our fingers to You or put the blame on You on the horrible things that happened in our lives.  Help us to realize that we all have one common enemy and we ought to be assured that his fate is worse than what we experienced or experiencing when You come to vindicate and redeem us.  Lord help me to see Your goodness and love at all times that I may never think or speak or even believe the words of the enemy that You are the source of my sufferings.  Give me true wisdom to understand Lord.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
