TITLE: Bildad

Scripture:  Job 25:1 - 6

God’s Message / God’s Commands / God’s Promises:

→ It’s sad that Bildad reached his breaking point at this time.  He gave all power to God but in the end his words showed that no one can be righteous before Him, which complicates everything because now with this argument, Bildad somehow just said that no one is righteous (which in fact is true) but then it now destroys the understanding of people that they can be righteous thru burnt offerings or sacrificial offerings of lambs.  Furthermore, Bildad even compared Job to a maggot - a worm.  Now, his emotions got the best of him and he directly insulted Job this time.  If we are not careful like Bildad, instead of helping our suffering friends, we end up insulting or attacking them so we ought to be careful and be vigilant with our words, ensuring that we only give life out of our words.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, take hold of my tongue and guard my heart at all times that I may not be ruled by emotions and speaks words that are not of You.  Help me to give life out of my mouth and nurture every spirit that comes in contact with me.  Take over my whole being that I may best represents You at all time.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
