TITLE: Job
Scripture: Job 30:1 - 31
God’s Message / God’s Commands / God’s Promises:
→ Job in this chapter spoke of the worse for anyone's life to happen. When God becomes silent in our lives. Job spoke of the things he did and how he offered service to man and now man turned against him when he is at his worse. He spoke of calling to God but He not answering. How many times have we felt the same in our lives? Job spoke of his sufferings and the same being he helped before, have now turned against him and mocked him instead of giving him the help he needs. Sometimes in our lives, we do good but the return is evil. We do the right thing but what we get is insult or pain or heartaches. We give selflessly, yet the people around us are just plain selfish! Job was in that situation too. But the worse of all is to hear nothing from the Lord. The same heart of David that cried for God, the feeling of desperation and crying out to God not to turn His back on him because of his sin. Job knew the feeling but the difference is, Job didn't commit sin so he was all the more confuse. But this gives light to our situation today. There will be times when we give life but what comes back is death. We do the right thing but the return is evil. But always remember that there is a greater purpose. In the life of Job, we will find out that everything happens for a reason and a purpose. Job in this chapter poured out his heart but he never considered God the enemy. He spoke of his enemies as those people who mocked him and did not offer him help but not God. Job did say that God allowed it but he never pointed to God as his enemy for he knows in his heart that God is not the enemy in this situation even if he couldn't understand what's really happening in his life at that moment.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for an amazing lesson today. I know that there will be times that the law does not apply immediately. In fact, we find it the opposite of what the law says happens. When we do good and what comes back is bad. We feel like it is the opposite of the law of sowing and reaping yet You have a greater purpose at all times and I pray Lord that You open my mind to that understanding that I may not put blame or hate You when You do need to turn Your back on me. Lord I pray that that won't happen but in my heart I yearn to stay faithful and committed at all times. Lord it will not be easy but You will help me and so I am confident for what You have already done, the victory that You have already won for me and I put my trust in You for that matter. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
