TITLE: Job’s Final Defense

Scripture:  Job 29:1 - 25

God’s Message / God’s Commands / God’s Promises:

→ Job in this chapter was reminiscing the past; the times when God's hands were upon him.  How he walked in God's love, protection and blessings.  Everything Job said in this chapter is true.  It makes you think God's goodness in our lives because in reality, God did all of these not only to Job but also to us who walks faithfully in Him.  His lamp shone on our heads and He watches all our days on earth.  His blessings just pours out from heaven towards us, overflowing, and we become His channel of blessings to others.  Clearly, everyone who's in love with God and walked with Him will understand every word that Job said in this chapter.  But the truth is, will we only seek the goodness and comfort that God offers?  What if when time comes, God offers us sufferings for a purpose?  Will we then also faithfully walk with Him?  That's the question to ask ourselves today.  Are we ready to go thru the cruelty and experience the wrath of the Devil for us for God?  Are we willing to make sacrifices for God's calling in our lives?  Jesus had the same struggles when HE was a man.  He had to pray to God and pray hard He did.  He even asked God if it is His will to take this cup from Him.  And maybe we will experience the same sooner or later.  But the question really is...will we remain faithful to Him?  

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this lesson today.  I know this is a hard question, a question that we, your children will go thru one time or another.  Lord, if you ask me today, I know my answer to that question is YES and it will be the same also if you ask me years from now.  I am committed to that answer Lord and I know that one day I will be tested.  Help me Lord to stay true and committed to my word today.  in Jesus' Name, Amen!
