Title: Psalm 119 - Daleth
Scripture: Psalm 119:25 –32

God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:
Such powerful words today from Daleth.  In this short words of psalm, such deep and strong revelations.  The author saw God's word as the only thing that can preserve his life when he is laid low in the dust - possibly dying or in the verge of death.  His belief is that God's words, His decrees, His law will preserve and restore his life.  Yet, he is humble enough to show that he does not possess the knowledge and wisdom to understand God's words fully.  That's why he meditates on His wonderful deeds.  When is soul is weary with sorrow, he finds strength in the word of God.  Are we able to do this in our lives?  Can we say that God's words are not only alive but literally brings life to us?  Do you believe that His word can restore us?  strengthen us in times of sorrow?  Because this author does!  And it must be true!  We know that God's word is alive and it can bring life but do we consider it as the source of our lives?  In short, the heart of our lives?  That without its beat, we will be considered dead! No matter how many organs we have viable or in good condition...it doesn't matter without the heart beating, we're still dead!  This author sees God's word as the heart of his life...that though he was in the verge of dying or already laid low in the dust....still his life is preserve because of His word.  When his soul is dying, God's word is his strength.  It's one thing to know and believe that God's word is alive but it's another to believe that it is the source of our lives.  The ultimate heart of our soul.
So like this author, he chose!  He made a choice to walk the way of faithfulness and set his heart on God's laws.  Will we do the same?

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, what a great revelation!  That Your word is not just living but it is life....our life.  Our life is preserved, sustained and kept because of Your living word!  Help me Lord to choose Your word and be faithful to it all the days of my life.  And as I do, Lord do not put me to shame...help me follow through your commands and give me the understanding I need to implement or apply it in my life.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
