Title: Psalm 112
Scripture: Psalm 112:1 – 10
God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:
→ Praise the Lord! What an amazing and assuring psalm this
chapter is. The author declared what are
in store for the righteous, those that fear the Lord and delights in His commands! Blessing and might, not only for them but for
their children's children. Wealth and
riches in their houses and righteousness enduring forever. Influence and light will shine even in the
darkest of times...good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who are just with their affairs. If you
want to be rich, wealthy, to have influence, power and even for good to happen
in your life...then the only path leading to that is to fear God and find great
delight in His commands. As we obey and
choose righteousness every day, God promised that we will never be shaken and we
will always be remembered forever. We
will thrive and succeed even in hard times.
Even when there are bad news, we will not fear it. Our hearts are steadfast in the Lord and
secure. We will truly lack nothing, in
fact, we will give away everything. But
the Lord will always meet our needs.
What more can we ask for? Why are
we still living in the wicked ways? Do
we want to end up like them who are vexed and wasting their lives away...always
longing for things that will never come to pass? Because that is the fate of the wicked. They will desire and hope for something but
it will come to nothing. So why choose
wickedness? When the path is clear. If we want anything good in our lives, the
choice is to fear God and find great delight in His commands. Amen!
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your
wonderful reminder today. Thank You for
reminding me to fear You and to always remember to find delight in Your
commands. Help me Lord to have this
attitude and heart so I may always choose righteousness and uprightness. Help me Lord that I may walk that path that
You have clearly laid out for the just.
Give me wisdom and allow me to remember this truth at all times. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
