Title: Of David, A Psalm.

Scripture: Psalm 24:1 – 10

God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:

→ The Lord is the King of Glory!  I can summarize this chapter to that.  David wrote this chapter with the full intention of declaring and telling us that God is the King of Glory and no one else is at par with Him.  He spoke of the Lord owning the earth and everything in it.  You can see David's faith in this Psalm as he declares God's glory, he take hold of the truth that he doesn't need to worry.  The previous chapter he spoke of God as his Shepherd who takes care of his needs so he will not lack anything, in this chapter, he reiterated or supported that truth by declaring of God's glory, assuring nothing but only our decision to trust Him fully with everything.  David continued on by vast and wealth of the Lord, speaking of God as the founder of the seas and waters.  Now who can really own the seas and the waters?  They are part of nature's wonders and no man can take credit of it, only God!  So that's why David was assured despite of what's going on in his life, he knew that he was in good hands because his Shepherd is the Lord who is the King of all Glory!  May we all see and have the same heart as David that we may continually put our full trust in Him.

In verse 5, David pointed out what God's seekers received: Blessing and Vindication.  Though, David wrote this in his time and possibly he was in a battle at that moment when he wrote this psalm but it is still applicable even to our days.  We are in need of God's blessings and vindication because every day we face troubles, issues, and unpredictable circumstances that our MAIN ENEMY plotted against us and so we need vindication and only God can provide it.  Amazing that the words of David many years ago remain true even to this days in our own very lives!  Wow!  Thank You Lord!

So like David, let's lift up our heads and declare God's glory as we should be doing!  Let's worship and praise Him as HE deserves!  Hallelujah!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this word.  Thank You for showing me that Your glory is none other and You alone are the King of Glory!  No one can claim credit to anything because everything was made possible because of You Lord.  You are amazing Jesus and truly deserving of all our praises and worship.  Give me a worshipping heart Lord that I may walk my every day in full praise and worship mode because You deserve all the praises that comes out of my mouth.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
