Title: A Psalm Of David
Scripture: Psalm 29:1 - 11
God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:
→ David in this chapter spoke of God's glory
and splendor like one in awe. He only
focused on God's voice! Yet, the sound
of it is majestic. Look at David's
description: the voice of the Lord is over the waters and He thunders over the
mighty waters. It can break cedars; it
can strike with flashes of lightning, it can shake desert. David knew the depth of God's majestic
being. By speaking of God's glory and
majesty, David remembers God as one with all the power and glory; the One with
the control. No one can ever go against
Him and David established God's sovereignty and solidity. David knew that nothing or no one can ever
take down the Lord and so no matter what, he remains strong in Him because God,
Himself is the One who gives him strength and blessings. So we can trust and depend on Him, the same
way David did because His glory remains from the beginning of time until today
and even to the future. His voice will
still be over the waters and will break cedars and will shakes the deserts and
strikes with flashes of lightning.
That's how glorious our God is!
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for showing me just a
glimpse of Your glory. David words gave
me an understanding of how strong and glorious You are. Yet his words were not enough to fully
explain the extend of Your glory. That's
why Lord I asked that You show me. That
I may be able to revere You all the days of my life. Open my eyes and heart that I may see Your
glory Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
