Title: Of David
Scripture: Psalm 28:1 - 9
God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:
→ David despite of him being a man after
God's own heart, he knows that everything good he did was never the basis of
God's love and protection to him. That's
why even if he walked blamelessly, he recognized that God can turn a deaf ear
to him and He can remain silent. David
again showed reverence and know that God has great power and authority over
man. David pleaded not to drag him away
with the wicked. Clearly, David knew
that only God has the power to do that and having known this power and
authority, David sees everything as a privilege and all goodness of God given
through Grace. May we always see the
same in our lives.
David despite of what he was going through
at that time, remained with a heart of praise and worship. He started with a plea from God not to turn
away from him and then ended the psalm with praise to the Lord. Here we can see that David understands that whether
the circumstances in his life are good or bad, he will continue to praise and
worship the Lord. For God is the
strength of His people and a fortress of salvation for His anointed one.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for teaching me to
always revere You and fear You. Remind
me that nothing I do can save me and that only You can allow both good and bad
to come my way and both comes with a purpose.
Help me to fully trust You that I may praise and worship You no matter
what my circumstances are. In Jesus'
Name, Amen!
