Title: For the Director of Music. To the Tune of “Do Not Destroy.” Of David.  A miktam.
Scripture: Psalm 58:1 – 11

God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:
In this chapter, David elaborated in illustrating the wicked but reading it taught me something new today.  From verses 1 to 5, David spoke of the wicked; how they speak unjustly and judge people inaccurately.  He pointed out that in their hearts, they have devised injustice and their hands only work out violence on earth.  He continued by saying that these wicked go astray from birth, even in the womb, they are already spreading lies.  Their poisonous and do not listen to anyone that they are not enchanted by anyone.  Let's stop for a moment and look deeper into these verses.  One thing I realized that a wicked person does not just become wicked at an instant.  In fact, David said that they went astray from birth.  So a child who is not guided properly by the word of the Lord will definitely be lost and walk astray from his purpose and his wickedness will take over.  That's why it is important to train up a child in the way he should go so that when he grows old, he will not depart from it.  This is something that we ought to realize, not only to the parents of today but even to those who have younger people under their care.  May it be a student or a younger sibling or younger cousins or any other relations you have with someone younger than you.  It is important to train them and guide them in the path that they should walk or else they will go astray and they will be walking the ways of the wicked.
In verse 6, David now pleaded before God to break the teeth of the mouths of the wicked; crushing them and eliminating them because the truth is, death and destruction is the path the wicked are walking through.  Their wickedness will come up to them and when it happens, the righteous will rejoice and will declare the truth that the righteous are rewarded and that God is truly the just judge of the earth!  So think carefully how we deal with the younger people in our lives and understand how to deal with them.  Lead them in a path of righteousness and they will surely be rewarded and safe.  But abandoned them and they will be lost and will be directed to the wickedness path, which will then become their death and destruction.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, great and mighty God!  thank You for this wonderful lesson.  Help me Lord to know how to deal or lead these young minds into the path You have chosen for them.  Help me to be a good example and a right influence in their walk with You.  Give me wisdom on how to train them in the path they should take.  I entrust that as You have led me to the right path, You will use me to show Your way in their lives too.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
