Title: For the Director of Music. To the Tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A Psalm Of
Asaph. A Song.
Scripture: Psalm 75:1 – 10
God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:
→ Asaph spoke of the faith of the
wicked in this chapter, which is what truly awaits them after all the temporary
happiness they squandered and wasted around.
But as for the righteous, there's one remains that we all do even until
the end, praise God! For His Name is
near and we will praise Him through the words of our testimonies!
God is the ultimate judge and has
already scheduled everything including the destruction of the wicked. No one knows the right time or when exactly
it will happens but definitely it will when it's least expected. In verse 8, the words of Asaph said, "In
the hand of the Lord is a cup full of foaming wine mixed with spices; He pours
it out, and all the wicked of the earth drink it down to its very
dregs." So Asaph spoke of rejoicing
and carelessness of the wicked. God's
judgment comes at the least expected time but for us, the righteous, we will
sing God's praises. Judgment time or
not, our praises will continue forever because the Lord will cut off the horns
of all the wicked and lifted ours up.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, this chapter is
similar to the previous ones that David wrote about You as the judge and we not
to over-think or care too much about the wicked because their time of judgment
will come at the time You have appointed.
You are assuring me once again that the faithful and steadfast will
rejoice in the end. And I choose to have
the joy with You at the end of my journey than wildly celebrate now on my own
and end up, losing You through eternity.
Help me Lord to make the right choices and not to harbor any envy or
jealousy in my heart when things don't come to me as how I want it to be or
when I see the wicked get more success than I do. Help me to see pass that and see their future
that I will not feel any bitterness in my heart. Guard my heart Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
