Scripture: Psalm 70:1 – 5

God’s Message / God’s Promise / God’s Commands:

→ A short psalm from David yet his words still comes with power and hope.  David spoke to God and told Him to hasten, hurry, come quickly Lord to help him.  David clearly was still in need of rescuing at this time and it is possible that he was trying his best to be patient.  Many times, we want the answer now and at this instance but God has His perfect time and we must trust Him with it.  You can see that David was trying to control his heart and tries his best to be patient because this short psalm focuses more on hope and what the future will be.  No elaboration on his present condition or how tired and weak he is, David was determined to see and focus on what is to come by trusting God with his predicament.  May we all learn to be patient in times of need.  It will definitely be a struggle but remember God is always on time :)

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, what a great message.  Short but truly powerful.  Thank You for teaching me to be patient today Lord.  Help me to remain steadfast in You even at times when things don't make it as I was hoping it to be.  Help me to remain true and faithful especially in times when answers cannot be found.  Give me the patience Lord to help me thru in difficult times and let my life become a living testament of Your glory and power even in times of need.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
