Title: Never Take Love For Granted.
Scriptures: Proverbs 5:15 - 23
God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
What
an amazing advice from King Solomon - Never take love for granted. Many times, we tend to take advantage of love
especially those that we become familiar with or used to. But King Solomon reminded us to drink from
your own rain barrel, or draw water from your own spring-fed well. Do not go finding another well that is not
yours and draining that well for your own personal satisfaction, when it does
not belong to you. Learn to appreciate
and care for what is yours. I just read
a message in Facebook not long ago, it was a quote from Buddha...he said what
is the difference between "I like you" and "I love you" -
He said, "When you like a flower, you just pluck it. But when you love a flower, you water it
daily...One who understand this, understands life. I want to share this because love requires
nurturing and care. So one rational way
to never take love for granted is to care and nurture it. So the next time you go finding someone else
or engaging yourself in an adulterous way, and I'm not just talking about love
between two people but I'm referring to love for God too... if you come finding
satisfaction somewhere else when you're supposed to get it from the source
(God), remember that you love God and when you love God, you care for Him and
not just go plucking Him out of your life and then hurting Him instead.
Prayer:
Lord
Jesus, thank You for great wisdom from King Solomon. Thank You for reminding me to never take love
for granted. Thank You for reminding me
never to take You for granted. Forgive
me Lord that at times, I tend to be busy and doing multiple things at the same
time, without realizing that I can only focus on one thing at a time. Help me Lord to remember to never go looking
for satisfaction somewhere else when the truth is, true satisfaction comes from
You alone! Help me Lord to remember that
You are my love, my well, my rain barrel.
Give me wisdom to make the right decisions each day that I may not
engage in any adulterous acts against You.
In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Proverbs
5:21 - 23 (The Message Version)
"Mark
well that God doesn’t miss a move you make; he’s aware of every step you take.
The shadow of your sin will overtake you; you’ll find yourself stumbling all
over yourself in the dark. Death is the reward of an undisciplined life; your
foolish decisions trap you in a dead end."
Let
us seek for wisdom from God each day so we won't make foolish decisions in our
lives.
Have
a great day everyone
