Title: Stop Being A Spoiled Brat!
Scriptures: Proverbs 29:21

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 29:21 says...

21 Give your servants everything they want, and they will learn to be wasteful.

Many people today are so dependent.  And i'm not only talking about financial but also in other aspect of their lives.  For example, emotions.  People kept looking for love from others when the truth is, one must first learn to love him/her self before he/she expects it from someone else.  People have become spoiled in many ways and we no longer know how to stand up on our own.  We don't know how to be accountable to our actions because we have allowed ourselves for someone else to always save us.  And maybe (this is just my own opinion), just maybe, this is the reason why some of the things we asked of God is not given to us?  Maybe because we have become so spoiled that our purpose, our sole existence in the world has gone and we have become wasteful.  Today, let us learn to be accountable of the things we do and not depend on others, except God.  But even as we depend on God, remember that our faith is dead without works.  So stop being lazy!  Act now!

Happy Tuesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus thank You for this wonderful message.  Thank You Lord for reminding me to be accountable and to act.  Help me Lord not to wait and be like a "spoiled" brat.  But give me the wisdom to use myself to do Your will and not just lay around waiting for food to come down from heaven.  Help me to be hardworking and diligent and not lazy.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Use Your Words Wisely!
Scriptures: Proverbs 29:20

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 29:20 says...

20 There is more hope for a fool than for someone who speaks without thinking.

It's so easy to say whatever we want especially when we are at the peak of our emotions.  We want to say things that will hurt someone because they hurt us.  At times, we just say things without thinking that the words we let out of our lips can actually cause damage to others that will not be repaired.  So it is crucial that we filter our words and understand the impactof it as soon as we let it out from our lips.  Know that whatever words you let go, it will never be taken back, just like time.  So treat your words like a precious asset and not squander it around.  Note that the Bible tells us that a fool has more hope compared to someone who speaks without thinking.  So don't be a fool but more importantly, don't be someone who speak without thinking.  Your words are powerful, so think before you speak.

Happy Monday!

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for reminding me about my words.  At times, I can be tactless or careless of my words.  I want to say things to hurt someone or at times, i just want to say things without thinking.  Help me Lord to be careful with my words.  Give me wisdom to use my words properly and for Your glory.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Don’t just talk – Do!
Scriptures: Proverbs 29:19

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 29:19 says...

It takes more than talk to keep workers in line; mere words go in one ear and out the other.

How accurate is this truth?  I mean, the reality, most of the time, talking settle things but without trust, the words spoken will just passed by the person's ear.  For an employer and employee relationship, trust is very important.  It is not enough to talk to someone when they are losing their goal or way, it is crucial that a relationship was established for the "talk" to be effective.  Whether trust was established from a strong bond between them or was it established out of fear leaving the employee or employer no choice but to trust the other, it doesn't matter.  Only when the person decides to trust the other can a leader influence someone to do what's necessary or vice versa.  So what's the best way to build trust?  As someone in position, I say one of the major key to building trust is to "walk the talk".  Do as you say and be their role model.  People will respect and trust you when you are true to your words.

Happy Saturday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for the great message.  Help me Lord to build trust among my colleague, family and friends.  Help me to do as I say, to walk the talk and practice what I preach.  I am not perfect but I am able to do what I say with Your help Lord.  Give me the wisdom to walk the talk.  Build my influence to others by strengthening the trust of others to me and vice versa.  Help me Lord to be trustworthy and be Your ambassador because You walk the talk and practice what You preach.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Accept Corrections
Scriptures: Proverbs 29:1

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 29:1 says...

Some people refuse to bend when someone corrects them. Eventually they will break, and there will be no one to repair the damage.

Let us not refuse correction in our lives.  Even the Bible warns us that time will come when it will be too late and we will be broken, the worst part is there will be no one to help us repair the damage.  Sometimes when we are fighting for something we truly believe with all our hearts to be true or right, we fail to see what others see wrong in what we believe in.  We need to have an open mind and ears to listen.  Know that nothing is perfect only God is.  So when people start opposing your actions or what you think is right, it is wise to listen.  Some of them  don't agree for no valid point but some may have solid points.  It is important that we listen and prepare our hearts to accept corrections.

Be willing to learn and change before it's too late.

Happy Freeday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your message today.  Help me Lord to change, I am here, willing to learn and accept corrections.  Give me the heart that is able to accept corrections Lord.  Help me to realize that I do not have all the answers, no matter how smart I am, no matter how strong my relationship with You, or no matter what my position or what I achieved in life.  Give me a teachable heart and help me to receive Your corrections.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Make the Right Choice
Scriptures: Proverbs 29:8

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 29:8 says...

8 Proud people who laugh at what is right cause problems that divide whole cities, but people who are wise are able to calm those who are angry.

Many people today are too proud to humble themselves and recognize their mistakes...instead, they point out the mistake of the other person and make it a big deal, with the hopes that their mistakes will be overshadowed by it.  I always believe that in every situation or problem, it always takes two to tango.  So if you are involve in a heated argument or issue, then you took some part ot it.  So whether you are fighting for what you think is right and the other person was fighting for the opposite, to escalate into a heated argument or a fight, takes you and the other person's full cooperation.  We are too proud to recognize our mistake because we blindly believe that what we are fighting for is what is right and just.  When in fact, when you are fighting for what is right and fighting for it in the right way, it shouldn't have escalated to a full blown argument in the first place.  So don't be the proud person that the Bible speaks of who causes division, instead be the wise who can calm those who are angry.

Happy Thursday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message today.  Thank You for giving me a choice to do what is right, although at times, i still choose what is wrong.  I am blinded by my emotions and i ended up becoming too proud to admit my own mistakes.  So today Lord, I ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing from whatever mistakes I had, have and will make.  I know I am not perfect but every day, You give me the opportunity to choose what is right, yet I still fail You at times.  So Lord, give me wisdom and strength to battle the temptation of giving into my feelings and making the right choices each day.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Be A God-Pleaser
Scriptures: Proverbs 29:25

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 29:25 says...

The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in God protects you from that.

How many times have we missed out an opportunity because of fear?  Or how many times have we allowed fear to disable us?  We could have closed that sale but we're too  afraid we get rejected?  We could have gotten that promotion but we're afraid that not everyone's going to like us?  We could have chosen what we like or need but we're too focus on pleasing others because of the fear of losing them in our lives?  Sounds familiar?  It's possible that at one point in our lives, we had the experience of pleasing others more than ourselves, in fact, maybe until this day, we still have that fear of what people think about us and it cripples us. It limits us in a certain way that hinders our progress.  The Bible says that fear of human opinion disables - it hinders you from achieving your full potential because there's no pleasing everybody.  Trusting God is our only protection from the opinion of others.  Remember always that it is better to please God than to please men.  Be a God-pleaser today!

Happy Wednesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message.  Thank You for reminding me that my protection and security is in trusting You.  Help me to be cautious not to be too concerned of what others think of me but instead help me to be sensitive of what You think of me.  Give me the wisdom and strength to take whatever opinions others have on me with the assurance that what matters is Your opinion of me.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: See What God is Doing in Your Life
Scriptures: Proverbs 29:18

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 29:18 says...

If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.

This verse was part of our message last Sunday and today I get to revisit what was shared during our service last Sunday.  The real question really boils down to, "Do you see what God is doing in your life?" Because according to this verse above, those who can't will just stumble all over themselves.  So it is crucial that we see God's vision in our lives.  It is important that we see what God is doing.  We are created for a purpose and that purpose is revealed in our Creator's words - the Bible!  So let's pray that God will open our eyes and see what He is doing in our lives and consistently read His words so we get to uncover the secrets of our purposes on earth.

Happy Tuesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for reminding me about Your vision today.  You have emphasized this once again in my life.  For sure, You are telling me to open my eyes and see my purpose.  Show me Lord, I am ready to see.  Give me the sight to see Your clear vision of my life.  Help me to become the person You created me to be and let Your word guide the way. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Don’t Play Favorites
Scriptures: Proverbs 28:21

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 28:21 says...

Playing favorites is always a bad thing; you can do great harm in seemingly harmless ways.

How many times have we favored someone just because he/she is family or friend?  I know I am guilty of this.  But God reminds us that to play favorites is always a bad thing, it's doing harm in seemingly harmless ways.  This is so true because oftentimes, we don't feel we are being harmful when we give favor to somoene, in fact, at times, we feel that we did a good thing or one that is harmless.  But God tells us that although it seems harmless, it actually does great harm to many.  To the one being favored, he/she learns dependency or worst laziness.  To the one who was not favored, he/she can learn anger, bitterness, or worst hatred.  Although, it's the person's own choice as to how to respond or react to a certain situation...you can't deny the fact that the person who plays favorites has a role in all of this.  Would you want to be the rock that others stumble on?  So stop playing favorites!  Be fair!

Happy Monday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful lesson today.  Thank You for opening my eyes to the truth and helping me realize to be fair and correct my ways of playing favorites to those I like.  Help me Lord to show fairness and not to become a stumbling block to others.  Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just at all times.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: No to Corrupt Leaders
Scriptures: Proverbs 28:28

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 28:28 says...

When corruption takes over, good people go underground, but when the crooks are thrown out, it’s safe to come out.

The Presidential election is coming soon and in full honesty, I have no idea who to vote or if I will exercise the right to.  The truth is, it's so hard to be certain of who to vote especially with the current candidates we have.  Media has tainted a lot of politicians in a way that it's so hard for them to come back from (take the example of what happened to Alma Moreno's interview).  We see a lot of bad ads against one candidate like Mar Roxas or Binay, which makes me wonder who supported such ads as this tells me what kind of person he/she is.  So it may be true that Binay is corrupt and Roxas, well.. he's plain careless with his words, making me rethink if I want someone to run the Philippines who doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut or open it and spill out professional and appropriate comments or opinions only.  And as for Poe, well, I really don't know anything about her or her program.  I hear her talks about continuing the legacy of her father but what legacy is that?  And don't get me started with the issue of "loyalty" because of her citizenship, which again makes me wonder if I want a stranger to run my country.  And of course we have Santiago, who I know is very well capable, but do I really want to put the country to the hand of someone who may or may not be alive soon?  So it's really a difficult choice and one that should not be tread lightly because the country's future is at stake.  But thank God, He knows better than we do.  He warned us of what kind of leader we need and verse 28 tells us just what kind of leader we should NOT be electing - one that is corrupt because clearly, we will all go into hiding!  Do you want to spend your life in hiding?  If not, then vote wisely this coming election.  Get to know each candidate and no matter how good their programs or promises are, never elect a corrupt leader in place!

Happy Saturday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your word.  For Your warning and lesson.  Help me Lord to discern people's intentions and characters that I may trust You in helping me choose the right person to vote as the next President of the Philippines.  Give me wisdom Lord that I may be able to identify those who are corrupt and those who are doing great harm in seemingly harmless ways.  Help me to be sensitive and alert to point out the wicked.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Come Clean and Take Accountability
Scriptures: Proverbs 28:12

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 28:12 says...

You can’t whitewash your sins and get by with it; you find mercy by admitting and leaving them.

I often wonder why hiding the wrong things a person did seems to be always the first choice for man rather than coming clean and taking accountability to the wrong actions he took.  Have you ever thought of this?  It seems easier to hide it than confessing or admitting what we've done wrong.  Despite the fact that all secrets will always come out to the open sooner or later.  Just look at Adam, when he did something wrong, his first reaction was to hide from God.  But God knows how we think and He knows that we need to change the way we think regarding hiding our sins and to understand that our sins can hold us down if kept hidden.  So He warns us in verse 12 that there's no way for us to hide our sins and get away with it.  Then God offers a solution, our freedom.  How? He said find mercy by admitting what you did wrong and leaving them behind - not holding on to them anymore but letting it go.  Thank You Lord for Your Mercy and Grace!

Happy Freeday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, Gracious and Merciful Father.  Thank You for wonderful message that time and time again lifts our soul and encourages our spirits.  Thank You Lord for the truth that Your mercy is for us but we need to come clean and take the 1st step of taking accountability for the actions we took.  Help me Lord to be accountable and to find it easier to repent than hide whatever sins I have in my heart and mind.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Mediate and Interceed
Scriptures: Proverbs 28:23

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 28:23 says...

23 Correct someone, and later they will thank you. That is much better than just saying something to be nice.

As Filipinos, we are known to be polite - at times, we are too polite to a point that we don't really mean what we said or we say nice things to make people feel better but end up hiding the truth of what we feel or think.  It's good to consider other people's feelings but when you know someone is in the process of ruining their lives, whether that person is family, friends, coworkers or even someone you just met, isn't it somehow our obligation to stop the person from ruining his/her life?  The saying, "mind your own business", has been very popular today that we end up not caring at all.  But we are not designed that way.  God Himself gave 2 greatest commandments: first is to love Him with all of us and the 2nd is to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.  I'm not saying that we make everyone's business our business but if we can do something to correct or prevent someone in ruining their lives, I believe, it's worth it!  We have a duty as God's children to love our neighbors.  So don't allow someone to destroy their lives today, interceed or mediate if necessary and save a life :)

Happy Thursday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful and amazing lesson today.  Help me to care and love others.  I have been isolated and limited with my interaction with people that at times I feel like I have become numb to other's needs.  Give me the sensitivity to understand and feel what other's are going thru and give me the wisdom to help them choose the right path or choices in their lives. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Become Trustworthy
Scriptures: Proverbs 28:20

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 28:20 says...

20 People who can be trusted will have many blessings, but those who are just trying to get rich in a hurry will be punished.

We all want to be rich; to have a life of abundance is something, I believe, humans desire.  And sometimes, our desire is so strong than our morals that we end up prioritizing making money than doing what is right.  Thus, the verse tells us that those who are trying to get rich in a hurry, they will be punished.  But one thing that I learned from the verse today is the value of being trustworthy.  Honesty, integrity, reliability, are just a few character traits that make a person trustworthy and God tells us that if you are someone who can be trusted, you will reap many blessings.  Today, the word is telling us that instead of focusing on getting quick or fast money, why not build the right characters to become trustworthy, then see for yourself, blessings upon blessings coming your way!

Happy Wednesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this wonderful verse that tells me to nurture and build my character to become someone others can trust.  Thank You for teaching me what to prioritize and to value.  Help me to work on myself and my character and not concerns myself of materialistic views or gains.  Give me the wisdom to identify what's more important and I know that You will bless me more than I could ever think of.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Choose Hard Work
Scriptures: Proverbs 28:19

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 28:19 says...

19 Whoever works hard will have plenty to eat, but whoever wastes their time with dreams will always be poor.

Many people have this fear of losing their jobs.  To some, job security is what they're looking for in every company.  But the truth is, no job or career is secured.  Anything can happen and in one blink of an eye, you can lose a job that you've invested on for years.  But you know what, God tells us that our provision does not come from our jobs, in fact, the verse above tells us that when we work hard, we are sure to have plenty to eat.   But those who waste time with dreams will always be poor.  Dreaming is not wrong but to continue to dream without doing anything about it, is just purely a waste of time.  So today, don't put your trust on your job or on a company or on a certain position you have...know that when you work hard, God will bless the works of your hands, and you will always have plenty to eat.  So don't waste time, instead invest on hard work!

Happy Tuesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message.  Thank You for reminding me that my security is not in my job or my work or any company but it is only in You.  And You said it Yourself that You will bless the works of my hand and whoever works hard will always have plenty to eat.  So help me Lord to trust in You and not in my job, my company or position.  Give me the peace and assurance that every need will be satisfied because You will satisfy them for me.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Choose To Do What Is Good
Scriptures: Proverbs 28:10

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 29:10 say...

10 Those who plan to hurt good people will fall into their own traps, but good things will happen to those who are good.

Today, God has assured us that when we do good, good things will happen to us.  It's the principles of sowing and reaping.  When you sow good, you will reap good.  And today God has confirmed once again that when we choose to do good, good will come back to us.  But God's goodness and love to those who do good doesn't stop there, He said that those who plan to hurt good people will fall into their own traps.  So if you are being mistreated today or abuse in any way, don't be discouraged.  Continue to do good, plant the seed of goodness at all times, and good will always come back to you.  And as for the people who wants to hurt you, know that God will take care of them.  Their fate has been set.  So choose to do good no matter what.

Happy Monday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your goodness and love.  Thank You for the assurance that You always look out for those who do good and obey Your law.  Give me the wisdom to always act according to Your will and not give in to my own vengeful heart.  Keep me in check Lord that I may always realize the intentions of every action I make.  Guard my heart Lord and help me to always choose to do what is good.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Unanswered Prayers
Scriptures: Proverbs 28:9

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 28:9 says,

9 When people do not listen to God’s teachings, he does not listen to their prayers.

Today's verse is one of those verses that are hard to swallow.  It's hard to believe that God doesn't want to listen to prayers.  We have this perception of who God is - we tend to box Him into the kind of God we want.  God is good - check! God is loving - check! God is merciful - check! Wait a minute - God doesn't listen to prayers of those who do not listen to His teachings? Hmmm...That doesn't sound right?  No, that can't be.  Well, sorry to burst our bubble guys, but as much as God is good, loving and merciful, He is also just and righteous.  We can't choose the ones we like only or the ones that are convenient to us because God is infinite and cannot be limited.  So today, let this verse serves as a warning to us.  If you find your prayers unanswered, maybe it's time to check your obedience to God's teachings/words.

Happy Saturday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a great lesson today.  I know it's one of those lessons that are hard to accept but Lord, thank You for reminding me that You are beyond than what I have made you to be in my mind.  Lord I want to know You fully and not just the God that I limited to.  Reveal Your glory to me Lord, just like You did to Moses.  Show me Your true self that I may know You with my whole being.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Obedience to the Law of the Lord
Scriptures: Proverbs 28:4

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 28:4 says...

4 Those who refuse to obey the law promote evil. Those who obey the law oppose evil.

Have you noticed how easy it is to break the law nowadays?  Oftentimes, the ones breaking the law act defensive as if they are the victims in the scenario and had no choice but to break the law.  Their wrong doings are justified because of the many reasons leading them to breaking the law.  But the truth is, we always have a choice - it's just a matter of our willingness to accept the consequence of the choice we make.  In the verse above, God tells us that the refusal to obey the law promotes nothing but "evil" but those who obey opposes evil.  Let us remember this before we refuse to obey - but more importantly, consider obeying the law of God, which promotes goodness and love.

Happy Freeday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this great reminder.  Help me Lord to live this truth in my life and to always obey Your law.  Give me wisdom to identify which law is true and to adhere to it.  Help me Lord.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Sheep Vs Goat
Scriptures: Proverbs 27:23

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 20:23 says...

23 Learn all you can about your sheep. Take care of your goats the best you can.

In Matthew 25:31-46, the Bible talks about sheep vs goat.  The sheep are God's people who were blessed because they fed, clothed, and looked after Jesus by doing good things to the hungry, naked and sick.  While the goat represents those who were cursed because they did not feed, clothe, or help others.   So there's a big distinction between the two animals.  Yet in the verse above, God says to learn all about your sheep and take care of your goats the best you can.  This tells me that we get to know other fellow believers like us who do the will of the Lord but at the same time, we also take care of those believers who are mere listener and not doer of the will of God.  We are not to judge because it is not our role to do so.  Our role is to take care of them but this does not mean tolerating their mistakes or sins - In fact, taking care of them means helping them get back on the right track.  So as Christians, we are tasks to carry one another's burden.  We are to help one another and if we find one who is losing his way (like a hypocrite who says one thing and does another), we are not to judge but help them get back on the right track the best way we can.  Note, the key is "the best way we can" - do not impose or force others but help them as much as you can.

Happy Thursday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a great lesson today.  I know this is one that I need help to work on.  Lord help me to have a heart to help even those that I don't want to help like the hypocrites.  Remind me Lord that all souls count whether they are a sheep or a goat.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Your Heart Reflects Who You Are
Scriptures: Proverbs 27:19

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 27:19 says...

19 Just as you can see your own face reflected in water, so your heart reflects the kind of person you are.

How's your heart today?  The verse tells us that our hearts reflect the kind of person we are.  So I guess the real question is...what have we been feeding our hearts?  Is it filled with anger? Jealousy? Pride? Hatred? Complaints?  Or have we been feeding our hearts with love, the word of the Lord, friendship, goodness, prayer, and positivity?  The best way to take care of our heart is to live by the Spirit because the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  So ask yourself, what kind of a person do I want to be?  Then choose what to feed your heart today.

Happy Wednesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your word.  Help me Lord to feed my heart with the fruits of the Spirit.  Help me to choose the things I take in and be careful not to take in anything that is not of You.  Give me the wisdom to make the right choices and to help myself mold the person You purposely created me to be.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

People who take care of fig trees are allowed to eat the fruit. In the same way, people who take care of their masters will be rewarded.

We have to understand that we have to take care of the things/people who takes care of us.  The verse tells us that those who take care of the fig trees are allowed to eat the fruit, in the same way, those who take care of their masters will be rewarded.  Today, we can relate this to how we take care of our jobs, our family, our home, our boss, our church etc.  Those that help in sustaining our lives, such as our careers that give us a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment; our family that gives the love we long for; our work that gives us the money to buy the things our bodies’ needs; the church that gives life to our spiritual needs; all of these things/people, we ought to take care of because they take care of us.  Learn to give value to the things that matter - invest on the things that gives you life instead of things that only depletes your energy or drain life out of you.

Happy Tuesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your word today.  Help me Lord to invest time and care to the things that matters and not invest it in the things that are not valuable.  Give me the wisdom to identify which things/people are of greater value and build in me the character to care for the things that have value.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Pure As Gold and Silver
Scriptures: Proverbs 27:21

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 20:21 says...

People use fire to purify gold and silver. In the same way, you are tested by the praise people give you.

Such a realistic and practical truth!  The verse tells us that to purify gold and silver, it needs to go through fire.  Many times, we associate fire as the testings of our lives - the problems we face.  But in this verse, God tells us that we are tested by the praise people give us.  This tells me that the greater testing comes in praise or at a time in your life where you are at your peak, whether it's in your relationship, wealth, career, etc.  We tend to become vigilant and cautious when we are experiencing great troubles in life while, we relax and become at ease when everything in our lives are good, without realizing that the greatest testing comes during these times, when everything seems to be good, comfortable and all in our favor.  God tells us that it is during these times that we are being purified, may we find ourselves purified as gold and silver in the end when we go through the best times of our lives and not the other way around.

Happy Monday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your wonderful truth today.  A true and practical wisdom that we can all use.  I ask Lord that You help me go through the toughest times in my life and come out pure as a gold and silver.  Help me to be vigilant and cautious especially in times when everything seems to be falling into its place or in favor of me.  Help me Lord to be humble at all times and continue to learn even in the best times of my life.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Be A Friend Today
Scriptures: Proverbs 27:17

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 27:17 says...

17 As one piece of iron sharpens another, so friends keep each other sharp.

A friend does not only listens, cares, or supports but a friend also sharpens another - i believe, this means, bringing out the best of one another.  Some friends are very supportive to a point that he/she is willing to walk with the other towards a foolish path.  But God tells us that friends do not just support, friends also sharpens one another.  When we talk about sharpening that goes through an uncomfortable process.  A pencil when sharens will have to go through the blade, cut its skin off to be molded into a useful pencil.  A friend at times will have to become the sharpener of another's life.  We will need to become the blade and cut the anger, hatred, jealousy, pride, etc out of our friend and bring out the best version of him/her self.  At times, we become the pencil and we find ourselves going through an uncomfortable process where our friend sharpens us.  And when this happens, don't forget to thank and appreciate your friend.

Happy Saturday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message about friendship.  Help me to become a good friend to someone.  Give me wisdom to influence and help in shaping another's life at its best.  Help me to learn how to become a true friend to someone.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Right Timing
Scriptures: Proverbs 27:14

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 27:14 says...

14 Don’t wake up your neighbors early in the morning with a shout of “Good morning!” They will treat it like a curse, not a blessing.

Right timing is very important.  Bad timing ruins whatever good intentions or actions you have.  The verse clearly shows this.  Even if the person shouting "good morning" means good or just wants to bless his neighbor, in the end, it becomes a curse that neighbor because it was done with bad timing.  The person shouting "good morning" becomes insensitive in this scenario.  This reminds me of an article I read recently about Kris Aquino giving compliments in Social Media to a specific airlines for a great service she received.  Kris did this in the middle of the heated issue ongoing about the "laglag-bala" scam.  So instead of people recognizing the good thing the airlines did, people bashed Kris for being insensitive to the many other victims of the scam in the airport.  What happened to Kris is just a clear example of how important timing is!  And God warns us about it through King Solomon thousand of years ago.  So let's be sensitive and make sure to do our good actions with good intentions in the right time.

Happy Freeday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a great lesson.  Thank You for Your wonderful message about right timing.  You always do everything in the right time Lord and so today, I ask that You guide me to do things in the right time.  Help me to be sensitive and wait for the right time.  Lead me and instruct me when is the best time to do what You want me to do.  Give me the wisdom to understand the right timing and help me to discern the time so I may not fall into a trap and become a curse to those I initially intended to be a blessing to.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Plan Your Life With Jesus
Scriptures: Proverbs 27:12

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 27:12 says,

12 Wise people see trouble coming and get out of its way, but fools go straight to the trouble and suffer for it.

God tells us that a wise person sees trouble coming and get out of its way, this tells me that wise people plan and anticipate what is to come.  Many people hate planning, I am guilty of that too, especially when most of the times, things don't happen the way it was planned.  But God still encourages us to plan and anticipate.  The only time we can see trouble coming is when we have clearly thought of our situation and have scrutinized every possible outcome of whatever goal or actions we are to take - and this is one of the major part of planning.  This helps up and prepare us for whatever is to come.  Although, tedious and requires more effort than just living life with the flow or with a "que sera-sera" mentality, its reward is valuable, although, often less appreciated.  So be wise and be one step ahead of life by being prepared - start planning and don't be blindsided.  Stop being a fool and see problems come to you at a distance and get out of its way!

Happy Thursday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful lesson this morning.  I know I am not a planner but You have taught me to do so through the years that we've been together.  Thank You Jesus for giving me the wisdom to think and think through the plans I have and really ready myself for what is to come.  Continue to give me the strength Lord to think through every action I take and surrender them to You.  Help me Lord what to do to make the right choices and also prepare myself for whatever result it brings, whether good or bad.  My hope and trust is in You alone Lord.  Thank You for the peace and assurance that no matter what, I will be secured and safe because together, we have planned things through.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Open Rebuke is Better
Scriptures: Proverbs 27:5

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 27:5 says...

5 Open criticism is better than hidden love.

I'm sure most of us would choose to have an admirer than be openly criticized by someone, right?  But this verse tells us that open criticism is better than hidden love.  Come to think of it, an open criticism is spoken and expressed to the person, which means, the person can accept and learn from it.  While hidden love is a secret and when remain hidden, it is wasted.  When someone critizes you, whatever their intentions were, they expressed what they think is wrong or needs improvement with you and that is an opportunity to learn.  But one who loves you from a far and never get the chance to express or tell you about it, then it's just a useless chance - because there's really no opportunity there.  So next time someone criticizes you, before getting mad or angry, remember that it is an opportunity to learn, improve and change.  In short, a chance to mature and develop your character.

Happy Wednesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful lesson.  Give me the humble heart to learn to accept from criticism thrown at me.  Help me to be willing to listen and improve.  Help me Lord to recognize the opportunity in it that I may mature and develop myself rather than blindly get angry and mad.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: No One Knows What The Future brings
Scriptures: Proverbs 27:1

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 27:1 says...
Never brag about what you will do in the future; you have no idea what tomorrow will bring.
There's a difference between planning the future and bragging about them.  This verse tells us that we don't know what the future brings so don't go bragging what you think will happen tomorrow for you.  But to plan for tomorrow is different.  I believe that we ought to have plans in life and planning your tomorrow is a wise thing to do.  But be careful because at times, we are too excited and overly confident of what we think we can achieve that we tend to talk about it like it's already a sure thing.  The truth is only change is sure in this world.  So no matter how sure you are of what the future brings, even if it is 99% sure, never forget that there's still this 1% missing.  So go ahead plan your tomorrow then trust God that whatever tomorrow brings, it is for the best because He holds your future in His hands.

Happy Tuesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank Your for reminding me that my life is in Your hands. Thank You for assuring me that even if things don't work out as I have planned it to be, everything happened and will happen because You have allowed them to.  And You are in control.  You have my life and in the center of Your palm so I don't need to worry.  Thank You for this Lord and for the peace and assurance that You will take care of me. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Stop Gossip
Scriptures: Proverbs 26:20

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing Day with Jesus!  Proverbs 26:20 says...
When you run out of wood, the fire goes out; when the gossip ends, the quarrel dies down.
This verse reminds me of one that I read not long ago.  It says, "Gossip ends when it reaches a wise man" And this verse tells us that when the gossip ends the quarrel dies down like a fire going out because it ran out of wood.  A wise man knows when to put more wood on the fire and when not to and so we ought to realize that we are not to add more wood to a blazing fire of gossip around, especially when this gossip causes quarrel, arguments, hate, fight, etc.  The only way to stop the fighting is to end the gossip.  So stop spreading the gossip or sharing it to someone else; control the desire to share rumors without proof or better yet, just control the desire to share things especially when another person is involve. Be a wise man and stop adding wood to the fire.

Happy Monday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this reminder.  Thank You for giving me the strength to control my tongue.  Give me wisdom Lord to never add more wood to the fire of gossip.  Help me to be wise and have self control and not start a fire or make it big.  Remind me Lord that this tongue is to be used for Your glory and not the destruction of someone else.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
