Title: True Wealth
Scriptures: Proverbs 24:30 - 31

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  I woke up today feeling cold and hearing strong winds beating some structures around the house.  I know that there's a typhoon in the Philippines currently but I was not aware that our area is included in the area affected of its direction.  The wind is so strong that you can hear the doors and some materials banging outside like someone strong and powerful trying to pull them out.  My sister got update to stay indoors because storm warning signal in our area has been raised to signal #2.   So I took my tablet out and started the day in worship, playing the music video I have speaking about "The battle is the Lord's" and indeed it is.  Our battle today is against nature and it is something that we are powerless but today God is reminding us that the Battle is His!  Hallelujah!  Thank You Lord!

Amazingly, I feel calm and at peace in the middle of this strong and raging wind around us.  So I went on my day and now, I'm ready for the word of God today.  Proverbs 24:30-31 says, 30 I walked past a field that belonged to a lazy man. It was a vineyard that belonged to someone who understood nothing. 31 Weeds were growing everywhere! Wild vines covered the ground, and the wall around the vineyard was broken and falling down.

One thing that really catch my attention to this verse is that a lazy man has its signature. What I mean is that, you will know when you see a lazy man.  His laziness will reflect in him, in his possession, in his appearance, in his wealth.  The verse tells us that one person passes a field and he knew right there and then that the owner of the field is a lazy man.  Because weeds were growing everything, wild vines covered the ground and the wall around it were broken and falling down.  There is no indication of care or love.  A lazy man does not value its wealth, it does not value its possessions.  Let us look into this deeper...what is your wealth?  What is your possession?  I'm not referring only to the money or material things but our greatest wealth or possession is God and have we taken care of our relationship with Him?  Have we nurtured and taken out the weeds or the wild vines that kills the connection we have with God?  Have we fixed the walls that protect our relationship with God from sin, from temptation, even from our own selfish desires?  These are thoughts to think about and I hope that today, we learn to value and take care of our true wealth in life.

Happy Sunday and be safe :)

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful lesson today, for reminding me to take care of my true wealth in life – my relationship with You.  Lord help me to build my walls to protect my relationship with You, help me to take the weeds out and the wild vines; Give me the wisdom to ensure that my priority is my wealth – You.  Help me to take care and nurture my relationship with You more than anything else in this world or more than what other things I possess.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
