Singing light songs to the heavyhearted is like pouring salt in their wound

God is telling us to  be sensitive with other people.  Know the appropriate response/action to someone who is sad or heavyhearted.  It is natural for us to try and encourage someone who is sad or down but God wants us to understand that there's a time for everything.  There is a time to feel sad but also a time to move on and choose to be happy.  Sometimes our cheers or words of encouragement can worsen the situation.  We ought to be sensitive and know the right time to say the right words.  We don't want to tolerate and nurture their sadness but we also want to make sure that we don't come out insensitive that we do not empathize to their situation.  The best thing to do is ask God for guidance on how to deal with people who are going through some difficult time.  Only He knows what to say and do.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus help me to be sensitive to the feelings of others.  Help me to become a comforter to those who need them.  Help me to deal with them by showing Your love to them.  I am a problem-solver and many times, when I see a problem I want to solve it asap.  But at times, a person needs to go through a process and will take time to move on.  So give me direction and guidance on how to deal with those who are going through some tough times in life.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
