Title: Be Good to your Enemy

Scriptures: Proverbs 25:21-22

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Today, God has an important word for us in Proverbs 25:21-22.

1 If your enemies are hungry, give them something to eat. If they are thirsty, give them some water. 22 This will make them feel the burning pain of shame,[b] and the Lord will reward you for being good to them.

It is never easy to be good with someone you don't like, even worst if this someone is your enemy.  But God tells us to be good to them.  Feeding them when they are hungry and giving them water when they are thirsty.  Your good actions will put them to shame and possibly give you the reward of reconciliation, if God allows it.  So instead of giving it to your desire to harm or plot revenge, do the opposite and enjoy the reward God has for you in the end.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for an amazing wisdom.  Thank You for such great and powerful words.  One that is hard to do on our own and that's why today Lord, I asked You to help me apply this in my life.  Forgive me Lord for the times that I did or plotted revenge against my enemy.  Forgive me Lord for giving in to sin and moving forward Lord, help me to remember that doing the opposite of my selfish desire, specifically Your will, is better than satisfying my own flesh.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
