Title: Evil Hides Their Real Intentions/Plans
Scriptures: Proverbs 26:23-24

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 20:23 - 24 says...

23 Good words that hide an evil heart are like silver paint over a cheap, clay pot. 24 Evil people say things to make themselves look good, but they keep their evil plans a secret.

Be careful with people who knows just what to say but never reveals their pure intention.  It's hard to see the real heart of a person that's why God warns us of people who knows how to say good words, those who say things to make themselves look good but never reveal their heart or plans entirely.  They are dangerous because no matter how flattering or how good their words are, they never truly let you in of who they really are or what they plan to do.  I'm sure you know one or two of them in your life.  So stay away from them.  Be cautious and alert, know that evil never show themselves as they are.

Happy Saturday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for the warning.  Help me to be vigilant and cautious and alert.  Give me the discernment spirit that I may identify evil around me.  Help me be sensitive primarily to You but also to the works of the enemy that I may stop them.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Title: Don’t be a Fool
Scriptures: Proverbs 26:18-19

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 26:18-19 says...

Anyone who would trick someone and then say, “I was only joking” is like a fool who shoots flaming arrows into the air and accidentally kills someone.

For me, it all boils down to intentions.  Through the years, we've learned to adapt different jokes.  Some are harsh than others but many people was able to get away with it because they say it's just a joke or maybe they are comedians.  But God says that the one who trick someone and says it's just a joke is a fool who shoots flaming arrows into the air and accidentally kills someone.  What comes into my mind are the different and more elaborate "pranks" nowadays.  I remember an article I read that Paris Hilton was invited as a guest in one of the funniest TV show in the Middle East.  When she arrived in the show, she was told that they need to board a plane to go to a small island and she boarded the plane without question.  But then the prank started, the pilot started driving the plane as if they're about to crash and that there's something wrong.  One passenger even jumped with parachute on acting as if he did that to save his life.  It was a very traumatic event for paris hilton, although people watching the show were laughing, Paris on the other hand was crying inside the plane.  In the end, Paris Hilton sued the TV network, the host and the show.  It was a joke that nearly killed her in fear.

Let's learn from this and remember what God says in Proverbs 26:18-19.  Let's not be a fool and be considerate with others always.

Happy Freeday!

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank for reminding me that a joke or trick can sometimes be harmful and destructive to others.  Help me to remember this and to be careful with how I deal with others especially when it comes to joking around.  Give me the wisdom to know when to stop any tricks or jokes that are not appropriate.  Give me the strength to be able to say no in becoming part of a huge scheme or prank.  Help me to come up with pleasing jokes to break the ice or build rapport without hurting or killing anyone.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Don’t Be Lazy
Scriptures: Proverbs 26:15

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 26:15 says...
15 Lazy people are too lazy to lift the food from their plate to their mouth.
Many times we already have the food but we are too lazy to taste it.  How many opportunities have we missed because we are too lazy to act on it?  How many times have we procrastinated and put doing things off, thinking that there's still time and end up reaching the deadline without having done anything and so, we don't get the opportunity or blessing.  So today, God is telling us to stop being lazy!  Do what you can do today and don't wait for tomorrow.

Happy Thursday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this powerful message.  I am so blessed to be reminded by You to become efficient and do what I can today and not wait for tomorrow.  Give me the drive to do just this Lord as sometimes, I have the tendency to be lazy and not do anything.  In all these things Lord, I know You will give me the strength to carry on and You will help me always.  So I put my trust in You alone.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Gossips Are Junk
Scriptures: Proverbs 26:22

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 26:22 says, "Listening to gossip is like eating cheap candy; do you want junk like that in your belly?"

God does not only warns us of gossiping as a sin or wrong action but he also warns us of "listening" to gossip.  Many times we thought that we're not doing anything wrong because we're just listening and we are not gossiping or spreading lies/rumors.  Another wrong thinking is when we think that because we said, "I don't know how true this is?" indicating that the rumor we tell may or may not be true, we're good because we leave a benefit of the doubt to whoever is involve.  Or maybe we are not sharing whatever we heard, we just want to know and be in the knowledge of what's new or be updated on a certain rumor or gossip about a person we know, then we are safe and we're not doing anything wrong.  We'll God points out a powerful truth today!  Gossip are junks, they may not have an immediate effect on us, but it is slowly destroying our character, our perception, our beliefs, etc.  It is hazardous to our spiritual health and the impact is slow so stop taking in junk into your heart and mind today.  Focus on real solid food by reading God's words instead.

Happy Wednesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a great and wonderful message.  I am blessed to have heard of such great warning.  Help me Lord to apply them in my life as I am weak and need Your strength to overcome my desire to know or my desire to tell.  Give me the self-control I need Lord.  In Jesus' Name Amen!

Title: Develop Self-Control
Scriptures: Proverbs 25:28

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 25:28 says...A person without self-control is like a house with its doors and windows knocked out.
A person without self-control invites the thief to come to his house and rob it, isn't that purely ignorant?  But that's what God tells us.  Without self-control, we allow sin or any other negative destruction to come and destroy our place.  This means, the thief/destroyer can take away not just the material things but also your joy, peace and happiness. And for that reason, although it is hard, we ought to learn self-control.  We need to discipline ourselves to build our walls up and protect what is ours from the enemy who comes to take away and destroy whatever is good.  Start by building a habit of good practices such as praying daily and reading God's words.  These 2 actions may be simple yet there's a huge struggle in just committing to doing it consistently.  So practice self-control each day and build a life of discipline.

Happy Tuesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message today.  Help me Lord to develop self-control in my life that the enemy may not be able to rob me from whatever is good in my life that You gave me.  Lord give me wisdom to always learn and choose discipline rather than carefree or without it.  Protect my life Lord and help me to build my wall up by practicing self-control at all times.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Title: Be Sensitive
Scriptures: Proverbs 25:20

 God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 25:20 says...
Singing light songs to the heavyhearted is like pouring salt in their wound
God is telling us to  be sensitive with other people.  Know the appropriate response/action to someone who is sad or heavyhearted.  It is natural for us to try and encourage someone who is sad or down but God wants us to understand that there's a time for everything.  There is a time to feel sad but also a time to move on and choose to be happy.  Sometimes our cheers or words of encouragement can worsen the situation.  We ought to be sensitive and know the right time to say the right words.  We don't want to tolerate and nurture their sadness but we also want to make sure that we don't come out insensitive that we do not empathize to their situation.  The best thing to do is ask God for guidance on how to deal with people who are going through some difficult time.  Only He knows what to say and do.
Happy Monday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus help me to be sensitive to the feelings of others.  Help me to become a comforter to those who need them.  Help me to deal with them by showing Your love to them.  I am a problem-solver and many times, when I see a problem I want to solve it asap.  But at times, a person needs to go through a process and will take time to move on.  So give me direction and guidance on how to deal with those who are going through some tough times in life.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Title: Do What is Right at all Times
Scriptures: Proverbs 25:26

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Today, Proverbs 25:26 says, "A good person who gives in to a bad person is a muddied spring, a polluted well."
Some people think that to give in to a bad person shows mercy, grace and love.  But this verse tells us that if you do so, you become polluted as well.  So we ought to stand to what is right and remain firm to it.  We should not waiver from what is right and worry that other people might not like us or worst, hate us.  Because in the end, whatever good and pure in you becomes dirty when we start giving in to evil.  So be careful and remain strong in doing what is right at all times!

Happy Sunday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a great reminder.  Help me Lord to remain strong in You and to always hold on to what is right and true.  Give me wisdom and strength to say no to what is bad or evil and help me see the future, meaning the end result, of my actions that I may not give in to what is not right.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Be Good to your Enemy
Scriptures: Proverbs 25:21-22

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Today, God has an important word for us in Proverbs 25:21-22.
1 If your enemies are hungry, give them something to eat. If they are thirsty, give them some water. 22 This will make them feel the burning pain of shame,[b] and the Lord will reward you for being good to them.
It is never easy to be good with someone you don't like, even worst if this someone is your enemy.  But God tells us to be good to them.  Feeding them when they are hungry and giving them water when they are thirsty.  Your good actions will put them to shame and possibly give you the reward of reconciliation, if God allows it.  So instead of giving it to your desire to harm or plot revenge, do the opposite and enjoy the reward God has for you in the end.

Happy Saturday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for an amazing wisdom.  Thank You for such great and powerful words.  One that is hard to do on our own and that's why today Lord, I asked You to help me apply this in my life.  Forgive me Lord for the times that I did or plotted revenge against my enemy.  Forgive me Lord for giving in to sin and moving forward Lord, help me to remember that doing the opposite of my selfish desire, specifically Your will, is better than satisfying my own flesh.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Right Words at the Right Time
Scriptures: Proverbs 25:11

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  What a wonderful day it is.  I am blessed to have enough sleep and rest despite of all the tasks and works I had yesterday and that is all because of the Lord.  Thank You!  Today, I read Proverbs 25:11, Saying the right thing at the right time is like a golden apple in a silver setting.

The important thing mentioned in this verse that we ought to do is to say the right thing at the right time.  We all know that words are powerful and important.  But it's not just any words, it's actually saying the right words at the right time that makes our words powerful and valuable.  Many times, our words become more of a destruction than a builder or an encouragement because it was said at the wrong time or worst, we said the wrong words.  So today, let us be patient and conscious of the words that come out of our mouth and when we say it, because its impact to those who listen are far greater than what we may think it does.

Happy Friday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for another amazing day!  Thank You for the strength and wisdom and grace and love poured out on me each day.  Today, I want to ask You Lord to remind me always to say the right words at the right time.  Remind me Lord that although my words are free and I can use them anytime I want, they come at a price and it’s not cheap.  Help me to remember to be careful with the words that come out of my mouth and to always be conscious of when I say what I say.  Guide me Lord so I may say the right words at the right time and build others instead of destroying them.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Title: Get All the Facts Straight
Scriptures: Proverbs 25:8

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Today, God tells us not to be hasty when it comes to making judgment about what we saw.  In Proverbs 25:8, He said, Don’t be too quick to tell a judge about something you saw. You will be embarrassed if someone else proves you wrong.

Many times our eyes deceive us.  We see one thing but reality shows differently.  That's why it is crucial that we don't judge purely with what we only see.  It is important to know the whole truth and even then, it is still important to bear in mind, that there are still some things hidden from us, specifically one's person's intention.  So never be too quick to judge because in truth, we don't have the right to do so because everything we know, we see, we feel, we hear, even if we have all the facts, one crucial matter still remain, we still don't know everything.  So don't go telling or report something without having all the facts and more importantly, don't judge. In the same way, that God who knows everything, who is the only True Judge, does not judge us quickly but instead gives us Grace and Mercy, we should do the same.
Happy Thursday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for reminding me to never be too quick to judge or report something wrong especially when I don't have the facts to back it up.  Help me Lord to give my fellow brothers and sisters the benefit of the doubt.  Give me wisdom Lord to follow Your instructions and dealings rather than be impulsive in making judgment to others.  Help me to follow in Your footsteps.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Nothing to Boast
Scriptures: Proverbs 25:6-7

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Today, God says in Proverbs 25:6-7, 6 Don’t brag about yourself before the king and pretend you are someone important. 7 It is much better for the king to invite you to take a more important position than to embarrass you in front of his officials.

It is important to remember that we can never boast to anyone about anything because in the first place, everything we have, even the effort we give out every day, is only because God allowed it to.  So everything we felt we did, is really something we didn't do alone.  God is either with us or allowed us to do all things we do.  So there's really nothing to boast - not our beauty, our brains, our intelligence, our body, our spiritual understanding, our health, our intellect...all is nothing but a gift from Above.  Always remember that.

Happy Wednesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this reminder.  Help me to remember at all times Lord that You are the source of everything, my strength, my wisdom, my effort, my love, my everything.  So I have no right to take credit for something I didn't or cannot do alone.  Remind me this at all times.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Let the Maker Make Something Beautiful and Extraordinary in You
Scriptures: Proverbs 25:4

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  What a beautiful and miraculous day it is.  Another day of God's protection, love, joy, favor, and goodness for you and me.  Today, God has given me a wonderful and amazing word, which I believe is very crucial in my walk with Him on this earth.  Proverbs 25:4 says, 4 Remove the worthless things from silver to make it pure, and a worker can make something beautiful. Powerful and true!

God tells us to take away the worthless things in our lives to make our lives pure and He (God) can make something beautiful out of us.  Do away with the things that are unclean in your life - the things that make you dirty like negativity, stress, sin, bad people or things or perceptions, anything that makes you unclean - then God can create something beautiful out of you.  The key here is that you have to give up the worthless things you have in life.  At times, this worthless thing that we need to get rid of ourselves is just our selfish nature.  Our humanly desires that make us unclean, like sin.  Yes, it is not easy but it is possible!  And when we do give it up and remove ourselves from it, we allow our Make to do something beautiful and extraordinary in us.

Have a Happy Tuesday!

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful and powerful message.  It is hard Lord to give up something, especially one that is dear to our self.  But Lord, help me to willingly give it up so You may have a blank canvass to work on and create something miraculous in my life.  I want You to be my potter, my molder, my creator, my artist, my writer, etc.  I want You to do as You please in me.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Seeker of Truth
Scriptures: Proverbs 25:2

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Great and mighty is our God!  Today, although, we can still hear and feel the strong wing and rain outside, I am sure and calm and at peace knowing that God's hands are covering us from the rage of the typhoon.  Praise Jesus!

Today, I'm moving onto Proverbs 25 and I woudl like to start in verse 2.  It says, 2 We honor God for the things he keeps secret. But we honor kings for the things they can discover.

We all don't have the answers or the knowledge to everything but God does and did you know that He reveals His secrets to us?  The verse says we honor kings for the things they can discover.  Are you a king today?  I don't mean it literally but maybe the right question is, have you discovered God's secrets today like what kings should be doing?  Kings lead but ultimately to lead a kingdom, you need to be a seeker of truth because only the truth can guide you to properly lead your kingdom.  We are like kings in a quest and we seek for one thing - the truth!  The truth that comes only from God who reveals it to us personally - to those who have a personal relationship with Him and who commune with Him on a daily basis.  So are you ready for God's secrets today?

Happy Monday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your truth that You freely reveal to those who seek You.  Help me Lord to be a seeker of Your truth and to apply it and live it in my life that I may lead myself and those who follow me to You.  Give me the wisdom and the passion to seek for Your truth each day.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Title: True Wealth
Scriptures: Proverbs 24:30 - 31

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  I woke up today feeling cold and hearing strong winds beating some structures around the house.  I know that there's a typhoon in the Philippines currently but I was not aware that our area is included in the area affected of its direction.  The wind is so strong that you can hear the doors and some materials banging outside like someone strong and powerful trying to pull them out.  My sister got update to stay indoors because storm warning signal in our area has been raised to signal #2.   So I took my tablet out and started the day in worship, playing the music video I have speaking about "The battle is the Lord's" and indeed it is.  Our battle today is against nature and it is something that we are powerless but today God is reminding us that the Battle is His!  Hallelujah!  Thank You Lord!

Amazingly, I feel calm and at peace in the middle of this strong and raging wind around us.  So I went on my day and now, I'm ready for the word of God today.  Proverbs 24:30-31 says, 30 I walked past a field that belonged to a lazy man. It was a vineyard that belonged to someone who understood nothing. 31 Weeds were growing everywhere! Wild vines covered the ground, and the wall around the vineyard was broken and falling down.

One thing that really catch my attention to this verse is that a lazy man has its signature. What I mean is that, you will know when you see a lazy man.  His laziness will reflect in him, in his possession, in his appearance, in his wealth.  The verse tells us that one person passes a field and he knew right there and then that the owner of the field is a lazy man.  Because weeds were growing everything, wild vines covered the ground and the wall around it were broken and falling down.  There is no indication of care or love.  A lazy man does not value its wealth, it does not value its possessions.  Let us look into this deeper...what is your wealth?  What is your possession?  I'm not referring only to the money or material things but our greatest wealth or possession is God and have we taken care of our relationship with Him?  Have we nurtured and taken out the weeds or the wild vines that kills the connection we have with God?  Have we fixed the walls that protect our relationship with God from sin, from temptation, even from our own selfish desires?  These are thoughts to think about and I hope that today, we learn to value and take care of our true wealth in life.

Happy Sunday and be safe :)

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful lesson today, for reminding me to take care of my true wealth in life – my relationship with You.  Lord help me to build my walls to protect my relationship with You, help me to take the weeds out and the wild vines; Give me the wisdom to ensure that my priority is my wealth – You.  Help me to take care and nurture my relationship with You more than anything else in this world or more than what other things I possess.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Title: Try Honesty
Scriptures: Proverbs 24:26

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Thank You Lord for waking me up :)  What a great day indeed.  I slept for less than 6 hours today and my wrist is still in pain a little bit but it doesn't take away the truth that today is another amazing day from God.  I am feeling a little tired but at the same time my mind and heart are feeling excited of what God has in store for today.

Proverbs 24:26 says, 26 An honest answer is as pleasing as a kiss on the lips. Very true!

Many times, instead of saying the truth and being honest, we have this struggle to say the truth.  I don't know what that impulse is or what's driving us to think that being honest is harder than coming up with an excuse or lie about something small to end a conversation or get away from it or maybe to get more information.  But the word tells us that honesty is as pleasing as a kiss on the lips.  Have you ever kissed someone on the lips?  Was it pleasurable?  Was it something you enjoyed?  Well, the word tells us that the pleasure you felt when kissing someone is equal to the same pleasure you'll get when someone tells you the truth or being honest with you.  I guess the kiss is heightened because of a physical and direct contact with another but the pleasure according to the word, is the same as when someone is telling you the truth and pouring out his/her soul to you - the connection this time is spiritual and not physical.  And I believe it is a deeper connection than a kiss.  So next time you want to connect to someone, try honesty!

Happy Saturday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your word today that will sustain me this day.  Help me Lord to be honest and to speak truthfully so I can better connect with someone else.  Help me Lord to develop and nurture my relationship with You and others by being honest about my true feelings and emotions.  Help me Lord to speak honestly and not come up with an excuse or speak white lies.  Help me to live in Your truth and to apply it in my life each day.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Title: Get Ready, Invest, then Build!
Scriptures: Proverbs 24:27

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus! what a beautiful day to start with Jesus!  Today, God has given me a verse that I believe is what I needed the most.  Proverbs 24:27 says, 27 First get your fields ready, next plant your crops, and then build your house.

For some time now, I have been airing out my sentiments with having 3 jobs.  It is difficult and hard but when I am too focused on the tiredness and pain that I get out from it, I failed to identify the benefits like the skills developed and the growth or development it gives me.  Last night, I had the opportunity to talk one on one with Ptra Arlene, which gave me confirmation once again that where I am right now, could be something that I needed for now.  I realized that the 3 jobs I have, have developed so many things in me, especially with my skills as a Virtual assistant - which brings me to the verse for today, it says that first, we are to ready the fields, then plant the crops and then build the house.  I believe that my experience right now, having 3 jobs at the same time, is readying the field for me.  I have the desire to go into business next year and I feel like the learnings and the things I do in all 3 jobs I have right now is honing and developing my skills and my mindset into becoming a businesswoman soon.  Amen!  So thank You Jesus!

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for confirmation, thank You for wisdom, for Your everlasting words that continually comforts and assure us.  Thank You because You are a great God that knows everything and prepares us all for the purpose and will You have for the world.  Help me Lord to embrace whatever purpose and plans You have for me.  Give me the strength to continue on each day and let me be sensitive to hear Your instructions each day.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Memory Verse share for today:
Proverbs 24:27 (Easy to Read Version)

27 First get your fields ready, next plant your crops, and then build your house.

Whatever plans or projects or goals you have in life, God has given us the right strategy to take in achieving them.  God says, ready your field first, once it's ready, plant your crops, and then build your house.  Simple truth that exist more than 2000 years ago.  It's principle is easy and direct.  We are to prepare in whatever endeavors we are to face or whatever challenges we want to take, then invest or plant - this may require sacrifice and patience but a definite necessity.  Then once the harvest comes, build your house!  So God, Himself, tells us that before we even buy or build the things we desire, we are to find a source of supply first.  If we take this literally, before we build our house, invest on a business that will produce you the materials to build your house, and more importantly, before investing in a business - start by doing your research and getting ready!  Simple but amazingly relevant even to our time today.

Happy Freeday!

Title: Respect the Lord and the King
Scriptures: Proverbs 24:21 - 22

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus! Today I woke up and my right wrist is obviously tired, I'm still very sleepy, been sleeping past 11pm sometimes 12pm for the past few days, I think my body is telling me to rest.  But despite of my physical condition, the day continues.  And here I am, enjoying my time with God's words, forgetting the pain or the sleepiness I'm experiencing.  Thank You Lord for Your help in getting me through to today.  So today, I want to look closely verses 21 - 22 of Proverbs 24.  It says, 21 Son, respect the Lord and the king, and don’t join with those who are against them, 22 because people like that can quickly be destroyed. You have no idea how much trouble God and the king can make for their enemies.

For the past few weeks and months, people have been confused with who to vote for the upcoming presidential election.  In fact, Duterte seems to be the main choice but when he announced for the 2nd time that he is not running, people around the world, I believe, were completely clueless as to who to vote.  I've seen a lot of posts in FB about the people's sentiments and confusions as to what to do, knowing that the remaining candidates for the position is obviously a bad choice (based on human logic).  I have been contemplating about this and I was saddened to know that no Filipino who is wise, strong, responsible, and God fearing, is passionate and committed enough to fight for the Philippines.  There are so many brave and smart Filipinos, yet not one dared to run and take care of the country.  Why is that?  Santiago, who was fighting her battle with Cancer, is the only person I see whose love for the country is deep enough to decide to run for presidency despite of her condition.  It's sad to know that this has what the Filipinos have become.  Then, I looked back to the verses we read today.  Respect the Lord and the King!  In the Philippines, we are not led by Kings but by a President.  So we can say that God is saying to respect Him and the president and King Solomon clearly gave us specific warning not to join with those who are against them because they can be quickly destroyed.  Furthermore, Solomon says that God and the King/President can make so much trouble for their enemies.  I remember what the Filipinos did against Marcos and to many other Presidents, which made me think that we are suffering with all these issues in politics for the seed of rebellion we planted a long time ago, in the time of Marcos specifically.  It's sad but know that the King/President came into power because God allowed it.  And if these people in authority treats us unjustly, know that God will deal with them, in the same way He dealt with Pharaoh in Moses'time.  The Israelites left Egypt with Pharaoh's permission after a long fight and numerous miraculous acts from God.  They left with consent from the Pharaoh and never went against his will.  God made Pharaoh agreed to let the Israelites go!  So let's understand that rebellion is never a good seed to plant, whether it is against a king, a president, a boss, even against our fathers at home.  May we learn from our mistakes.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for an amazing insights and wisdom today.  Help me Lord to be submissive and not to plant any seed of rebellion to any of the people in authority in my life.  Help me to understand that if they mistreat me or unjustly deal with me, You will deal with them so I don't need to consume myself with doing anything to achieve justice for the unjust treatment I receive.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Make It Your Business
Scriptures: Proverbs 24:11 - 12

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Today, I read the scriptures that a few months ago, I also came across and was impacted by its message.  And today, God has brought me to the same scriptures...Proverbs 24:11- 12, If you see someone on their way to death or in danger of being killed, you must do something to save them. 12 You cannot say, “It’s none of my business.” The Lord knows everything, and he knows why you do things. He watches you, and he will pay you back for what you do.

How often have we disregard or looked the other way even when we know the other person is walking in a dangerous path?  How many times have we done so because we don't want to insert ourselves to the mess the other person is into?  How often have we thought of what is more convenient to us rather than being in a situation to help someone who is a stranger or someone going through that is clearly none of our business?  Well, today, God says that we ought to see the value of people and when we know that one is walking to a path of destruction, we make his business our business too.  The Lord knows everything, the things you do or did, including the things you DID NOT DO.  The word of God clearly says, He watches us and will pay back what we do, whether we did or did not.  The best and most powerful thing we can do to help even the people we are strangers to, like the victims of ISIS or the ISIS people themselves (because they're actions are leading to death) is to pray for them.  If you don't what to do to help... Pray!  That's the best help we can give for everyone.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message today.  Help me Lord to learn to value people especially those who needed my help the most.  Help me Lord to pray for them especially when I have no idea what to do to help.  Give me the heart for these people who are suffering and facing their death because of their faith and love for You.  Help me Lord to pray for others.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Title: Are You Ready For Battle?
Scriptures: Proverbs 24:5-6

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  What a great and wonderful day we have?  So great to spend it with our Lord.  Proverbs 24:5 says, 5 Wisdom makes a man more powerful. Knowledge gives a man strength. 6 Get good advice before you start a war. To win, you must have many good advisors.

Are you in a battle right now?  Are you struggling or fighting a war either within yourself or with other factors outside yourself?  We all have our battles each day and we need to be ready to face them.  King Solomon tells us a wise advice on how to win whatever battle we're facing today.  He said, wisdom make us more powerful and knowledge gives us strenght...so make sure to get good advice before starting or getting into the fight of your life.  And what's wiser than the word of the Lord?  What better way to start our day and prepare ourselves with life's battle than meditating and feeding our soul of God's living words?  There is nothing else better than this.  So each day, it is important that we listen to God's wisdom and learn His knowledge and take God's advice to ensure our win in the fight we are to face for the day!

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your words.  Thank You for reminding me again that Your word is not just food or life but it is a weapon that I need to win every battle I face in life.  Help me to always start my day with You Lord at all times and understand that the time I spent reading Your word and spending with You is the only time I get my strength and power from You to take down all the battles ready for me today.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Choose Wisdom
Scriptures: Proverbs 23:23

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Today, I started with a hectic and busy schedule.  I normally, start my day with my daily devotional but today, I woke up with a headache and it made me do things slower than my usual pace.  But God knows the future ahead, yesterday, I received this milk tea with ginger drink as a gift from Ptra Arlene and although I didn't plan to drink it today... becuase of my headache, I did.  I wanted to drink something hot in the morning but was hesitant to drink my morning coffee because I had a headache so I decided to try the milk tea with ginger instead and viola, my headache is gone.  So thank You Ptra but most of all thank You Lord for knowing what's ahead.  So this is the reason why i'm doing my devotional at this time instead of my usual earlier schedule.
Proverbs 23:23 says, "Truth, wisdom, learning, and understanding are worth paying money for. They are worth far too much to ever sell." Wow, such an amazing and powerful lesson for today.  I know I am guilty of this.  How many times have we replaced wisdom or learning for things that we thought are more important?  I will take an example closest to my experience today. I started slow today because of a headache and I started my day without learning from the Wisest person of all, the Lord.  I started doing some of my tasks and I could choose to continue doing my work knowing that I have more things to do, plus this is my work, which means, this is my source of income.  But today, God says that wisdom, truth and learning and understanding are far worth more than whatever money I can earn from my work.  And this only confirms that I made the right decision to do read His word before continuing my usual tasks for the day.  Thank You Lord.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your love and grace and mercy.  Thank You because today, despite of the slow start, You managed to organized my day that I am able to schedule and finish everything on time.  Help me Lord to always remember what's more important in life and to realize that I should always seek wisdom, truth, learning and understanding and make it a priority in my life.  In short, that I should always make You a priority in my life at all times.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

23 Truth, wisdom, learning, and understanding are worth paying money for. They are worth far too much to ever sell.

How many times have we chosen to sell or replace the truth for what we think is more valuable?  A classic example will be reading the word of the Lord.  We know that wisdom comes from God and His words, the Bible, contains what we need in life.  However, how many times have we chosen to read something else than the Bible?  Or do other things like watch TV, movies, listen to music, or spend time with other things to entertain us than educate and teach us?  I know I am guilty of this.  But today, God is telling us to choose wisdom and value wisdom for its worth.

May God shows us what really valuable in life and help us choose to prioritize them.

Title: Fear the Lord
Scriptures: Proverbs 23:17-18

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 23:17 says, 17 Never envy evil people, but always respect the Lord. 18 This will give you something to hope for that will not disappoint you. Wow!  I mean, how often have we thought of the things that other people have, or feeling a little hurt or disappointed when another wins a raffle by chance.  We asked ourselves, why life is unfair.  Why people who wins by chance only happens to others and not to ask?  We tend try our best to work and work for what?  To be able to get the things that we don't have right now.  But remember that work's purpose is not selfish and work is not given to plainly satisfy our selfish nature.  It is for the main purpose of helping others.  And if we start feeling envious of others and wanting to have what others have, we lose our focus on what is important.  That's why Solomon said to always respect the Lord.  In the message version it says their "fear the Lord".  Know that everything we have or has happened to us is in accordance to God's will and if you want a better future, you can only achieve that in God.  So fear or respect God for He is the only One who has the ability to give whatever your hearts' desires.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for bringing my perspective into the right path.  Thank You for letting me understand that my selfish nature may be able to make me feel pleasure or satisfaction temporarily but in the end, only You can turn things around and give me my heart's desires. Lord give me wisdom to focus on You rather than what I don't have.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

God tells us to stop thinking of the things others have that you don't, instead focus on Him.  Respect and Fear Him because only He has the power to turn things around in Your situation.  Most of the time, when we are thinking of the things we want to have, we tend to work harder to get what we want, without realizing that the purpose of work is more for others than ourselves.  In addition to that, only God has the power to give the desires of our hearts so instead of focusing on our own effort to achieve the things we want in life, why not focus on the Lord, for only He has the power to give all the desires of our hearts, which is something we can hope for that will not disappoint us.

Title: Make the Lord Happy
Scriptures: Proverbs 23:15-16

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus everyone!  Today, we will talk about how to make our Father, our Lord, our God, happy.  It is said that the joy of the Lord is our strength...so today, let us make Jesus happy and gain the strength we need to survive the day.  King Solomon made sure to include this secret from the wise words He wrote for us all. In Proverbs 23:15, it says, 15 My son, it makes me happy when you make a wise decision. 16 It makes me feel good inside when you say the right things.  So you want to know the secret of making God happy?  Well then make wise decisions in life and say the right things.  It's that easy!  God loves it when we walk the righteous path.  And although the actual process of doing so may not be a walk in the park but that's why when we make a decision to pursue righteousness - that makes God happy - which then His joy becomes our strength to help us in pursuing the path of righteousness.  Hallelujah!  How great is our God!

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, amazing Father and wonderful God.  I am blessed to know that everything You say is connected and makes sense.  I am grateful that You give me the wisdom to understand and realize the the value of Your words each day!  Thank You Lord.  Today, help me Lord to make the right choices and to say the right words in the full purpose of making You happy because Your joy then becomes my strength to carry on for the day.  Ultimately, my heart wants to make You happy Lord.  So please help me make the right decisions and say the right words every moment of my life.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Give Yourself To Disciplined Instructions
Scriptures: Proverbs 23:12

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 23:12 says, "Listen to your teacher and learn all you can." This is in the Easy to Read version but I want to use the "Message" version for today.  Verse 12 of Proverbs 23 says, Give yourselves to disciplined instruction; open your ears to tested knowledge.  Now, this version gives us a deeper understanding of what listening to our teacher means.  It says "give yourself to disciplined instruction" - Hallelujah!  How many times have our hearts and ears hardened when we are disciplined?  At times, when we make a mistake, we are aware of the wrong that we have done, but instead of welcoming the lesson that our teacher tells (the teacher could be your parents, siblings, actual teacher, grandparents, or anyone who normally scold us when we did something wrong) us, we tend to disregard their voice and not listen to them.  Not because we don't understand but because we are aware that we did wrong and we don't want to listen to the wrong we did repeatdly.  But in this verse, we learn that we are to give ourselves to disciplined instruction; it is understandable if we don't want to listen to the wrong we did repeatedly but we must recognize the wrong we did and not just neglect it.  The Lord continued on by saying that we must "open our ears to tested knowledge".  I am guilty of this because I consider myself a wise woman and one that is logical.  At times when I make a mistake, I am aware of it and I learned from it but I don't want others to tell me about it anymore, normally my sister is this person i am talking about.  However I realized that my sister may repeat the mistakes I make but at times, she will speak something that I haven't considered and will allow me to actually grow and mature from this mistake (although, I don't usually admit it to her face) but the truth is, it helps.  So just like what the Lord said, let us give ourselves to disciplined instructions and open our earts to tested knowledge.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me to have a humble heart that I may be open to disciplined instructions at all times and to open my ears to tested knowledge.  Many times, my pride and ego distracts me and cover my ears and hardens my heart to the truth, but remind me Lord at all times that I need help doing what is right and sometimes, I will ear truth from You through people that I least expect or want to tell me about it.  So help me Lord to realize to learn and make my heart teachable always.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Memory Verse Share for today:
Proverbs 23:12 (The Message Version)

Give yourselves to disciplined instruction; open your ears to tested knowledge.

Do you have someone in your life that you have a hard time listening to?  This person normally is part of your family, like a mother, father, siblings or even grandparents.  They are the people who think they know better and the hard part is that they do...and that even makes it harder to listen to them.  I don't know if you understand what I mean, but if you do.  Well, God tells us today that we are to give ourselves to disciplined instruction and open our ears to tested knowledge, no matter who it came from.  Because the truth is, for us to be hearing it from someone we least expect, or from someone we don't like, is already one of the many teachings/lessons we have to learn and accept in life.

Title: The Wise Vs The Fools
Scriptures: Proverbs 23:9

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 23:9 says, 9 Don’t try to teach fools. They will make fun of your wise words.  Wow!  It is not just that fools don't listen to wise words, they actually make fun of them.  Have you ever been in a situation when you gave your words (seriously and you know that your words have wisdom) yet you ended up made fun of?  Well, I guess you have become a victim of the fools trickery.  Fools turn the table around and make you look like the fool when you say or do the right thing.  Example, when you don't smoke or drink, more often, you become the "kill-joy" of the group and ended up one of the many topics they talk about and make fun with when they are together and drunk. This is just a classic example but i'm sure there are many others.  But don't be ashamed, do what is wise and right!  Because the wise will always know who's the real fool in the group.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus thank You for such wise words today.  Help me to remain strong and firm when it comes to my stand in what is right and wise.  Help me not to get swayed by the foolishness of others.  Give me the courage to stand up what is right and wise.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: A Selfish Person
Scriptures: Proverbs 23:6 - 8

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  Today, God is speaking in Proverbs 23:6 - 8.  The word of the Lord says, 6 Don’t eat with selfish people. Control any desire you have for their finest foods. 7 They might tell you to eat and drink all you want, but they don’t really mean it. They are the kind of people who are only thinking about the cost. 8 And if you eat their food, you will get sick and be embarrassed.  One thing that caught my attention here is when God says that these selfish people are the kind of people who are only thinking about the cost.  Normally, when we think about selfish people, if the scenario is about food, then we would think that the selfish people wants all the food for himself.  But here God says that the selfish people thinks of the cost and not the food.  So it's not an issue for them if you eat and dine with them but the issue is how much food you're eating.  At times, they pretend to say that others haven't eaten yet and so they didn't like that one person who ate too much, but in reality, they just don't want to give or order more food so the hungry will be satisfied and others who are still on their way can still eat.  Wow!  This is another great revelation.  Because today, it is not about the actual food that the selfish wants but the value of the food and how much they're losing that God is telling us that these selfish people are thinking about.  Hallelujah!

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, Great and mighty God!  I am amazed of a great revelation today.  Today I learned that selfishness is not always wanting to have it all...selfishness could be not wanting to give at all!  And today Lord, I am grateful for this new lesson.  I pray that you teach my heart and mold it in a way that all selfishness will be removed.  Give me the opportunity to give and share at all times and teach my heart Lord to be willing and humble and cheerful in doing so.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

I find this verses interesting because God tells us that a selfish person does not want to have all the food, he actually shares his food to others and invites them to eat but he has a limit of the food he wants to share because he is thinking of the cost.  So I learned today that a selfish person is not always the person who wants it all but a selfish person could be one that doesn't want to give it all.

Title: Be Smart
Scriptures: Proverbs 23:4 - 5

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus!  What a great and marvelous day it is.  Today, God has a wonderful message for me found in Proverbs 23:4:5, 4 Don’t ruin your health trying to get rich. If you are smart, you will give it up. 5 In the blink of an eye, money can disappear, as if it grew wings and flew away like a bird.  What an amazing word from God!  God has been very good to me and has been blessings me all through my life.  In fact, one of the greatest testimony I have right now coming is that by end of this month, I will already be debt free!  Woohoo!  I am so amazed of how God has worked in my life and continually working by the way in showing me amazing and wonderful things.  I was thinking for the past few days about my current situation.  I have 3 jobs right now because of the debts I have.  But by end of this month, I will be able to pay off my debts and was hoping to resign one of my jobs however last night, I was hesitant to resign because I thought that it would also be good to keep all three jobs to earn more money.  Then today, God corrected me by telling me that I have to have a life balance and to take care my health.  Amazingly, I am blessed that God corrects me in my wrong perceptions and views (although these views are normally good and logical to man).  Thank You Jesus!

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message.  Thank You because this clearly tells me that You do listen and care about all the decisions I make in life.  I am blessed to have a Father like You because You lead me to the right path and ensure that my decisions in life are good for myself.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Need I say more?  Man desires to be rich (financially) and will work himself to death if needed.  This is how most men thinks but God, whose ways and thoughts are higher than men, tells us that our health is more valuable than wealth.  Because in the blink of an eye, money can disappear, but a ruined health takes a lifetime of struggle.

Title: The Life of An Angry Person
Scriptures: Proverbs 22:24 - 25

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing Day with Jesus! God is good!  Today God gives us a wise warning.  He said in Proverbs 22:24-25, 24 Don’t be friends with people who become angry easily. Don’t stay around quick-tempered people. 25 If you do, you may learn to be like them. Then you will have the same problems they do.  Have you ever wondered what the problems of hot-tempered people are?  Why do they get angry so easily?  In most cases, these are the little things in life but they are unable to control their feelings and they get mad even in the little things.  Would you like to have a life like that?  A life that is full of anger? Well, just spend time with easily angered people and soon you will become one of them.  You will have all their problems too.  But if you don't want to be living a life that is filled with hate and anger, stop putting yourself in a situation that will give you the life of an angry person.  Choose your friends wisely.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your wise warning to us all.  We don't want to live a life that is filled with hatred and anger.  I know I don't want to.  So please help me to choose my friends and know the people that I spend my life with.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
