Title: Drinking from the Chalice of Knowledge
Scriptures: Proverbs 20:12 - 20

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  What a great day to praise the Lord!   Hallelujah!  Glory to You alone Jesus!  Today is such an awesome day to have so let's start it right by feeding our spirit :)

I'm reading Proverbs 20:12 - 20 today.  The title is "Drinking from the Chalice of Knowledge" and this is what we should be doing daily, to eat and drink from the Chalice of knowledge and table of wisdom.  Out of these verses, I want to point out one that speaks to me today.  There are actually 2: Verse 17 and 18.  Verse 17 says, "Stolen bread tastes sweet, but soon your mouth is full of gravel." How true and very wise.  Sometimes it is easy to take the easy path, no matter what it will cause us, so long as we get what we want and although it may taste sweet or feels awesome for a moment, the Bible tells us that soon, our mouth will be full of gravel.  In short, the sweetness of what we're trying to achieve will turn to bitter because of the crooked way we tried to achieve it.  So in the end, no matter how valuable the price is if it's not achieve in the right process, its value diminishes.

The 2nd verse that I want to focus on is verse 18, it says, "Form your purpose by asking for counsel, then carry it out using all the help you can get." God has given us an advise thousands of years before that is clearly logical and powerful then as it is now.  He says plan and ask help to achieve your goals.  The Lord tells us that we need help.  We can't do it alone.  So form your plans/purpose then seek help from others or from God Himself.  What an amazing wisdom that is truly a classic, very useful then as it is now.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, what a wonderful and great lessons today.  I am blessed to know that You have written and set aside these amazing truth for us thousands and thousands years ago and if we have known this beforehand, we could have avoided making foolish mistakes.  Truly Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light onto my path.  Thank You Lord.  Help me to apply this in my life daily.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Memory Verse for today:
Proverbs 20:17 (The Message Version)

Stolen bread tastes sweet, but soon your mouth is full of gravel.

Have a blessed day!
