Title: Words Kill, Words Give Life
Scriptures: Proverbs 18:1 - 24

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Today, God reminds us of the words we speak - that we choose to give life instead of killing the spirit of others.  Let that be a constant reminder to us every day.  Moreover, chapter 18 of Proverbs speaks a lot of wisdom.  And I would like to share to you some of the wise words that really impacted me today.

1) Verse 6, the words of a fool start fights; do him a favor and gag him - This is eye-opening to me not because of the fact that fools ‘words start fights but I am more in awe of the 2nd statement.  Solomon says, do the fool a favor and gag him!  When a fool speaks, he sees at his right and many times, when we try to stop that person, we can come across as rude.  But God tells us through Solomon today to gag the fool if you must - by doing so, you are giving him a favor.  So don't hesitate to stop the words of a fool, do it with love but most of the time, when a fool is stopped, they won't see it as you helping them.  So just be aware of this and know that your intentions are true.

2) Verse 10, God's name is a place of protection - good people can run there and be safe.  Hallelujah!  Are you in an unsafe environment?  With recent news, we can find crimes everywhere and it doesn't feel safe anymore.  But God says, His Name alone is a safe place for us.  We can run to Him whenever we feel unprotected or alone.  So we can be assured that we are safe in His Name!

3) Verse 14, A healthy spirit conquers adversity, but what can you do when the spirit is crushed? Amen!  When you are facing struggles or conflicts in your life, the best option is to feed your spirit with God's words; make it healthy because with the right perspective and disposition in life, the word of the Lord says that you can conquer your adversity, but one who has a crushed spirit can do nothing.  Wise words from our Lord today!

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your wonderful words today.  I am blessed to be reminded to be careful with my words and to choose to speak life always.  Thank You for reminding me to not hesitate to rebuke a fool because as you said, open rebuke is better than hidden love.  Thank You for assuring me that in Your Name, I will be safe and I can always just run to You.  Thank You Lord because all I need is to keep my spirit healthy by feeding it with Your words to conquer all my adversity.  Thank You Jesus for all of these words and help me to implement them in my life.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Memory Verse Share for today:
Proverbs 18:14 (The Message Version)

A healthy spirit conquers adversity, but what can you do when the spirit is crushed?

If you are going through adversity in your life today, You need to nurture your spirit to overcome your struggles in life.  The best way to keep our spirit healthy is to feed it with God's words and avoid feeding it with junk like gossip, negativity, lies, etc!  Read the Bible and keep your spirits satisfied.

Have an amazing day with Jesus!
