Title: A Pilgrim Song.
Scriptures: Psalm 132:1 - 18
God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
It's a cold morning but the word of God will warm our hearts today. Today's message is a reminder of God's promise to us. David made a vow to God to build Him a place and the Lord made it possible. But that's not what God has for us today...Imagine David, a son, excited to give something to his Father. A gift and that gift will serve his Father's home where God can dwell and remain. Have you ever experienced feeling excited to give or do something for someone? You give your time, effort and you're looking forward for the recipient's reaction upon receiving your gift? I'm sure we have this experience one time in our lives. We become so happy to know that the receiver of our gift is very happy and if it's the other way around, we become sad. So imagine David with this same feelings at that time. He was excited to do something for God, something that his heart has longed for for so long and he wished that God will be pleased. Well, we see that God was more than pleased. He accepted David's gift and even made a promise of His own for him to continue the line of royalties in his clan. God chose the location for the home that David has desired for Him. So we see God accepted and got Himself involve in the process then committed to the gift then blessed the giver. Amazing! Now this is how it is to give to God! When we give to God or fulfill our promise to Him, He accepts, gets involve and commit to it until we have it fulfilled. Hallelujah!
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message. Thank You for such a great revelation that You are totally committed and involved with us, even in the things we promise to do or give to You. Lord thank You because You help us fulfill the promises we make. How I long to give You something Lord. Give me wisdom what to give You aside from my life, service, time and commitment. I want to give something tangible as a symbol of my commitment and surrender to You. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
