Title: A Song Of Ascents.
Scriptures: Psalm 128:1 - 6
God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Praise the Lord! what a great day to marvel at His words and promises. Today, I came across a video in Facebook, a news clip from CBS Evening News, where this newscaster was interviewing another lady from Fairfax county Virginia. It seems that a school in Virginia were teaching kids as young as 4th graders, sexual gender identity. They talked about the different gender not just male and female and at some parts of the lesson, it talks about sex, adultery, etc. Parents are getting concerned because they were not informed about this and they were even closed out of the classrooms. The woman who was interviewed said that they were told the Obama administration has something to do about this. She said that the Virginia state is being blackmailed into doing it with the threat of losing funds for the state. Sorry, if I sounded very political but is this really happening? Our children are the future of our nation and at a very young age, what are we teaching them? Instead of building them with the truth, we are polluting their minds at a very sensitive and fragile time of their growth. Now this saddens me yet I guess this has to come to pass for the darkest of times. We are in the darkest of times already. And so the only words God has for us today is in Psalm 128, "Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to Him, you will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours." So today, we stand in that promise and truth; we hold on to God's words and fear Him and obey Him only; For God's hands are upon those who love Him. And in a time of chaos or trouble, verse 6 tells us "May you live to see your children's children - peace be on Israel." If we look at the "message" translation, it says in verses 5-6, "Enjoy the good life in Jerusalem every day of your life, and enjoy your grandchildren. Peace to Israel." So in the darkest of times, we can enjoy the good life with Him.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your wonderful words that always comforts and assure us at all times. Thank You for the assurance that Your hands are upon those who fear and obey You. Lord teach me to fear and obey You always. Help me to always remember the importance of choosing the right side, You, in my life. Give me wisdom and strength to choose what is right and no easy in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
