Scriptures: Psalm 129:1 - 8

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Are you feeling press down this moment?  Do you feel like everything and everyone around you is just pushing you back?  Does it feel like everyone and everything is out to get you and they all desire to see you fall?  Well, fear not.  The word of our God is for you today!  How amazing it is that in times of deep trouble, God's words can assure us and comfort us.  That even if we do not see any solutions as of this time, or any way that our oppressors will stop torturing us, yet, His words can give us peace and assurance that things will be better.  Well, today, Psalm 129 is the word for us.  And allow it to comfort and secure and give you peace today.  I love that the author wrote words with certainty...he spoke of a life being oppressed since he was young.  He was kicked around since he was a kid but his words brought power and encouragement because despite of his long-time struggles with his oppressors, he said, "they never could keep me down." - well, that's God's words for us today!  Our oppressors (whether its time, people, or things, or circumstances), they cannot keep us down!  Hallelujah!  why?  Because God ripped the harnesses they use against us and God ripped them to shreds!  Praise God!  They will be humiliated, although they will feel victorious for oppressing us at a time, yet when we continue with our faith in God, they will see that they have lost every fight against us!  They will be like a grass in shallow ground that withers before the harvest comes.  So they will not get to enjoy the harvest God has set.  So don't be discourage.  If you're feeling a little overwhelmed with all the negativity around you or the oppression you're experiencing right now...stand in faith and remain steadfast before God and He will ripped their tools against us to pieces and put our enemies to shame.  They will never could ever keep us down!  Hallelujah!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus what a great word of encouragement today!  I am blessed and grateful that You keep me assured and comforted each day.  Despite of what we hear and see on the news or around us, You assure us that with You by our side, we have nothing to worry about because You will take care of us and You enjoy giving us rest!  Hallelujah!  Thank You Lord for Your love and Your words daily.  Help me to live it in my life and to let You shine through me.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
