NOTES:
Ø
God’s favor and grace was abundant in the lineage of David. He made a promise and He fulfilled it! Even during the time when Judah was exiled, David’s
lineage continued. From the time He set
David as the King of Israel as a whole, to the time when God divided Israel
into 2, and even to the time when God totally exiled Judah because of their
wickedness. David’s line continued on as
God promised and became royal line even after the exile finished. We serve a God whose words are power and
law. It cannot be broken and will remain
until the end of time. No matter what
happens, everything will fade away and change but God’s words remain. Let us adhere to it, both the good and the
bad. Nowadays, people just looked into
God’s words that speak goodness, blessings and love for them. Though, these are good practices, we must not
neglect God’s words about His wrath and judgment. Because they are still His words, and those
words will still remain even to the end of times. Let us make sure to obey and listen to “all”
of God’s words and not just those that suit us J
Prayer:
Lord Jesus,
great and mighty God. Thank You because what
You have said You’ll do, will always come to pass no matter what. Thank You Jesus because I can stand on Your
word that reveals the truth. Just like David
did when he wrote a song about You in Ps. 18, David received Your Word of Truth
and David made it alive in his life, making it his personal testimony, which
then lead him into thanksgiving. Let
every Word from You become a living testimony in my life Lord, especially those
that declare goodness and blessings.
Help me Lord to be conscious of my prayers and understand that this
request reflects not only the Words You have spoken about blessing us, Your
children, but also the Words You have spoken about judgment. Remind me of that always Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
