Title: Everything Happens at the Right Time
Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 3:2-8

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing Day with Jesus! Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Today, God's words is timely!  I just had an incredible time with family yesterday and today, God talks about a time for everything.  I want to focus on the irony of God's words in this chapter.  Because God speaks of having time for everything both good and bad.  I want to emphasize on this again because most of the time, when bad things happen in our lives, we don't seem to want it.  I'm not talking about sin but i'm talking about circumstances like someone died due of natural death kind of scenarios here.  But many times, whenever bad things happen, it's hard for us to accept but we don't have any problem accepting all the good things in our lives even if we don't deserve it.  But today, God tells us that there's a time for everything both good and bad, birth and death, healing and killing, destruction and building, crying and laughing, joy and sadness, etc. I'm sure you get the gist.  So let's learn to accept both and prepare ourselves for both situations.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message.  I am blessed to hear such wisdom.  Help me Lord and prepare myself for both good and bad.  Give me the heart to accept and know that everything happens with Your permission.  Help me to realize that You are in charge and everything happens because You permitted them so I am to accept and take all things as it is and know that You are in control.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: A Time For Everything
Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 3:1

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Ecclesiastes 3:1

Today, we are reading one of the most popular verses in Ecclesiastes but very wise.  King Solomon spoke of a time for everything - to be exact a RIGT time for everything.  He declared that everything on earth will happen at the right time, this includes, death, birth, success, failure, sorrow, joy, innocence, wisdom, etc.  Note that Solomon says "everything" that means "All", not some, not few, or others, but all things on earth happen at the right time.  Wow!  This includes the things that you don't like - they still happen at the right time.  So in short, there's really no imperfect timing or wrong timing because when things happen on earth it happens on the right time.  I will end here for today because I want to go through each of the next verses daily.  So for today, rest assured that everything that happens in your life here on earth happens at the right time.  It happened because it is/was/will be the right time.  So it is a good assurance that everything in our lives, whether good or bad, happened at the perfect timing.  With this knowledge, we can be assured that God is in control and although, we may not understand why or what's the reason/purpose for what's happening in our lives, we can be certain that it happened because it's the right timing and when there's a right timing, it means there's one that ensures that it happened at exactly when it should happen.  So there's really someone looking after us and that is Jesus!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message. Thank You for reminding me that everything happens at its perfect time.  Help me to accept and be happy of everything that happens because all did so as it pleases You.  So give me the heart to embrace and accept everything that happens, both good and bad.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Is There Real Happiness In Life?

Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 2:17 - 26
God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing Day with Jesus!  Ecclesiastes 2:17-26

Wow! King Solomon's words today just pierced directly to the heart.  Truly, there's no true happiness that only man can attain.  They say happiness is a decision, if that's the case, isn't it just like faking it until you make it?  So Solomon here concluded that real happiness attained by human is a myth.  You work hard then end up dead and leave everything you've achieved to someone who can be worthy or unworthy of it all.  It's a sad thing to think about as there's no happiness in having fun nor is there in working hard.  That's why he said, eat, drink and enjoy the work that you must do.  Make it balance.  Have fun and achieve something but do not make it your life.  So why even work or do good if everything is useless as Solomon said it is?  Well, Solomon himself answered that in verse 26, when we do good, God will give us wisdom, knowledge, and the best part is...JOY!  Happiness may be fake but Joy isn't and God is the author of our joy and He gives it to those who do good.  So don't try to have fun all the time or give everything you have to your work, in the end it will all be useless.  Instead, do good because real joy comes from God alone.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this wonderful wisdom.  Thank You for reminding me to have a balance life.  Thank You for reminding me that my work is not my life because my life is You.  Help me Lord to balance everything and when i say balance, You get 100% of me.  Help me Lord that in everything I do, whether I work or have fun, I do it all for Your glory and honor.  Help me to always do good because real joy comes only from You.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Maybe Wisdom is the Answer
Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 2:12 - 16

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Ecclesiastes 2:12-16

After having fun and doing hard work, King Solomon found both to be useless.  So then he thought of wisdom.  It is true that it is better to be wise than stupid, similarly that light is better than darkness, yet in the end the path each one of us take is the same...the result is the same - death.  Whether you're walking to it with wisdom and seeing where each of your step leads you, or you're walking towards it foolishly or with a blind eye.  In the end, the destination is the same and everything we live for in this earth, whether we become famous or not, will be forgotten.  Yes, at times, we will be remembered like our heroes or those who made a difference but then in the end, people will live their own lives and will forget the life you lived.  So there's really nothing that makes one superior than the other, not the way of life, not wealth or wisdom or even the difference he/she makes to others - because in the end, all will be forgotten.  So never think of yourself greater or more valuable than the rest.  Nor should you waste your time doing foolish things, because as Solomon said, it is better to see the path you're taking towards the end than walking to it blindly and foolishly.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, Your words today is deep and I know that it holds greater meaning than how I am able to convey it in my writing.  But Lord one thing I learned today, I am nothing but mere human and there is nothing I do or say or learn that will make me more valuable or important than the rest of us.  I also learned that my end is the same as of any man but your gift to mankind has made my end better.  But still, this should not make me feel or think that i'm better because You've given me eternal life.  Instead, this should remind me that this gift is free for all and all of us still have the same fate in the end because it is given to us by You freely - the choice is in our hands to accept it, whether we accepted it earlier in life or at the last minute of our lives.  So thank You Lord for these wonderful words that will keep me humble and my feet on the ground.  Give me the wisdom to apply them and realize the secrets of Your words.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Does Hard Work Bring Happiness
Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 2:1-3

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Ecclesiastes 2:4-11

King Solomon after realizing that having fun does not bring happiness, sought to do hard work and see if this bring him happiness.  He did great things and earned a lot of money for himself.  People served him, his wealth and territory just grew and grew and he had everything he needed and wanted, yet in the end, this too did not bring him happiness and became a waste of his time.  This tells me that man is never satisfied.  Our human nature seeks to have more and is never content.  Whether it's about having fun or doing hard work and gaining so many achievements - we are hard to please.  We keep on seeking for more and more.  Thus Solomon says in verse 11, ...It was like trying to catch the wind.  There is nothing to gain from anything we do in this life..." It's sad to think that all we do in the end will become a waste of time.  That's why it is important not to be consumed with what we can do or our skills/talents or abilities.  Because no matter what we do in this earth, we will never be satisfied.  You know why?  Because we are created a spirit and the things that will satisfy us are the ones feeding our spirit - God, Himself.  Our hard work or the "fun" in this world means nothing to us in the end because our true being is our spirit and we need God to satisfies us.  He is the Only One who can do so.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this realization.  Yes, I admit, I have a lot of things I want.  I want to travel, I want new things, I want a business, an investment, and many more.  At times, I get jealous, frustrated and impatience to acquire these despite of all the blessings You have poured out on me.  But today, You made me realized that all these things may be good but it can never satisfy me because I am a spirit and You are the only satisfaction for me.  So Lord, I ask for more of You.  For what You can offer more than what my hands can do or this world can give me.  Because I know that only You can satisfy me completely.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Does “Having Fun” Bring Happiness
Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 2:1-3

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Ecclesiastes 2:1-3

King Solomon is in the quest to find happiness.  In the previous chapter, he ended it with the knowledge that with much wisdom comes frustrations.  So the one who gains more wisdom also gains more sorrow.  In chapter 2, he started his study with "Having fun".  He enjoyed everything as much as he can to see if this will bring him happiness and guess what?  It didn't!  In fact, it made him feel useless and foolish to laugh all the time.  He filled his body with wine and tried foolishness because he wanted to be happy.  He wanted to see for himself what was good for people to do during their few days in life and in conclusion, he came up with the realization that having fun does not do any good.  I'm not saying that we shouldn't have fun.  We should but there's a time for everything including having fun.  Maybe having sorrows or going through a struggle or difficult time is just a part of your journey towards becoming happy.  I don't know but one thing is sure, proven and tested, to have fun all the time does not one any good at all.  Don't take my word on it...Take it from the wisest King ever lived.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for these wise words. Help me Lord to balance my life and to understand that happiness does not come from having fun.  Although, at times, it is nice to see people having the time of their lives, especially today that you can see everything in FB, but thank You for reminding me that there's a time for everything.  Having fun all the time, does not guarantee happiness, only a waste of time.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Does Wisdom Bring Happiness
Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 1:12-18

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Ecclesiastes 1:12 - 18.

King Solomon answered the question, "Does wisdom bring happiness?" The sad realization and truth is found in verse 18, Solomon said, "With much wisdom comes frustration.  The one who gains more wisdom also gains more sorrow." This reminds me of the popular saying, "The truth hurts" Clearly, many times, we are foolish to want to know everything only to end up that the things we long to know are the ones hurting us.  King Solomon being the wisest king ever lived, devoted himself to studying and learning.  He decided to learn how wisdom and knowledge are better than thinking foolish thoughts.  Although, it may lead you to rational or logical decisions...it remains that the process towards attaining that wise decision is not easy.  Oftentimes, there are a lot of hurtful truths that one must learn before deriving the wisest decision.  It's as simple as not being able to please everyone.  Being wise will help you accept that no matter how rational or logical your decision is, it will never please all and in everything you learn, there will be something unpleasant or sad or horrible that comes in the truth.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for letting me know that wisdom will not make me fully happy.  It will help me make the right choices and decision but in the end it brings a certain amount of sadness or unpleasant learnings that I will have to endure having known them.  Lord protect me and keep me safe despite of the truth that I learn and help me use it in accordance to Your will.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Nothing is New
Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 1:9-11

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Ecclesiastes 1:9-11.

The verses came from King Solomon who says everything is meaningless prior to these words.  Today, King Solomon speaks of another wise truth...nothing is new!  Everything is the same.  People are amazed of new inventions or technology or new learning or knowledge or interpretations but in the end the Lord thru King Solomon says, nothing is new.  All these things has always been here, people may have put the pieces together but it's never new.  It's been here for a while.  And in verse 11, Solomon says that the people just don't remember what happened.  And in the future, they will still not remember what is happening now.  Why is that?  Is it because our minds are incapable of retaining these memories or events?  Or is it because we don't value it as much to pass it on to the next generation?  I think it's the latter and that's why Moses and Joshua made sure to include in their reminds to meditate God's words day and night and to never depart from it because all is written yet we forget, we do not remember and when things happened, we thought it's the first time we experienced it, we are blindsided and we don't need to be.  If we only meditate thru God's words and remember.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, help me to remember each day.  Help me to remember what has happened in the past or the things that are happening now that I may be able to pass it on to the younger generation.  Help me to retain it in my memory that I may remain grateful and faithful to You, knowing Your faithfulness and love to us too.  Give me wisdom to remember and connect what's happening today to the past that I may know what to do.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Things Never Change
Scriptures: Proverbs 31:14-15

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing Day with Jesus! Today, we moved onto the book of Ecclesiastes 1:1-8.  This is one of Solomon's great books and it contains great wisdom from wisest King ever lived.  In these verses, King Solomon speaks of everything being meaningless.  Every effort, every sweat, blood, strength that we put into are useless - nothing to gain from all the hard work we do in this life.  At first read, this may bring many questions but if you truly look into the words of the wise king, we can see that his words are true.  Indeed, all our efforts and hard work are meaningless because whatever success or achievements we get out of it, are all nothing but a gift from God - the One who gives and takes away! So does this mean we no longer work hard or give our effort in what we do?  No to such thing!  In fact, we ought to give our full effort and strength in everything we do for the Lord because God sees and rewards our hard work.  But note that whatever achievements or success we gain after giving all our hard work and effort, note that it's all nothing but a gift because the outcome will always requires God's approval.  So humility is key and knowing our place - don't feel entitled or think that we deserve them because we don't...everything is at the mercy of the Lord.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, wow!  First word that comes out of me is WOW!  I can't imagine such wisdom you've imparted to Solomon to think of such wise perception.  I am privilege and honored that You shared this secret word to me today.  Thank You for a wonderful message.  Help me Lord to know my place and to realize that everything I receive is nothing but a gift from You.  All is at Your Mercy.  Thank You Lord.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: The Good/Perfect Wife
Scriptures: Proverbs 31:14-15

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 31:14-15 says...

14 She is like a ship from a faraway place.
She brings home food from everywhere.
15 She wakes up early in the morning,
cooks food for her family, and gives the servants their share.

This is still a continuation of what a good/perfect wife is.  Today, we're looking at verses 14-15 that pictures a good wife as someone who provide food for her family and take care of them including the servants.  It's funny how our culture label the men as the ones working and providing food on the table, while the women just wait and prepare the food once the man arrives.  But the Bible tells us that the perfect wife does not only wakes up early in the morning to cook food for her family but she also goes out and find food and bring it to them from everywhere.  This tells me of a woman who works with her hands and again very resourceful because she can find food from everywhere.  And the woman does not only takes care of her family but she evens take care of her servants.  If you ask me, looks like there's a lot of tasks a woman does, and you may ask, what about the woman?  Who will take care of her?  Well, one thing for sure, as the woman is defined by the Bible as a woman with multiple duties and responsibilities, her main purpose is to always do good for her husband and never cause him trouble.  But the man is commanded by God Himself, to love the wife as Jesus loves the church and Jesus died for us, so should a husband if required.  But today, we are talking about the good wife, let's renew our minds and understand the true definition of a real wife.

Happy Freeday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for giving me a true understanding of what a good wife should be.  Lord I want to be the good and perfect wife that is fit for You.  I know I cannot do it by myself.  I know I am not strong enough to make the change but with Your help Lord, I can be and I will.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: The Good/Perfect Wife
Scriptures: Proverbs 31:12-13

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 31:12 - 13 says...

She does good for her husband all her life.
    She never causes him trouble.
13 She is always gathering wool and flax[c]
and enjoys making things with her hands.

Today, we will look into 2 verses that define a good/perfect woman.  She does good for her husband all her life and never causes him trouble. Does this mean that she tolerates all the abuse of her husband?  I don't think so because I believe that a wife who does good for her husband all her life and the husband knows and believes this, will not give any reason for her husband to abuse her.  So it is not enough that as a woman/wife, we do good for our husbands and not cause him any trouble - it is equally important that the husband knows and believes this to be true as well.  This can be achieve with honesty and action.  The 2nd verse speaks of a woman who always gathers wool and flax and enjoys making things with her hands.  This tells me that this woman is not lazy but she is resourceful and creative at the same time.  So there's no time to sit around and waste precious time for her, she can find things to do but not just anything to do, but things to do that are productive and again with the purpose of doing good for her husband and not causing him any trouble.

May we strive to become the perfect woman/wife for the Lord.  Let's always do good for our Groom, Jesus, and never cause Him any trouble.  Let us be resourceful and creative with the purpose of doing good and glorifying God!

Happy Thursday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I am Your fiance and I can't wait to be Your wife.  But Lord, help me to become the good and perfect wife suitable for You.  Help me to have the passion to do good for You all my life and never cause You any trouble.  Help me to be resourceful and creative to be productive for You.  All these I ask in You Name, Jesus, Amen!

Title: The Valuable Wife
Scriptures: Proverbs 31:10-11

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 31:10-11 says...

10 [a] How hard it is to find the perfect wife.[b]
She is worth far more than jewels.
11 Her husband depends on her.
    He will never be poor.

Starting from verse 10 of Proverbs 31 talks about a perfect/good wife.  And to fully understand everything what makes a good wife, it's best to read the whole verses until the end of the chapter.  But for today's sharing, I would like to focus on verses 10-11.  These verses speak of a valuable wife, more valuable than jewels or in another version, it says more precious than diamonds.  But what makes a wife precious?  Is it her wealth? Her money or inheritance?  In verse 11, we find the answer.  The most valuable wife is one that her husbands can depend on.  In "the message" version, it says that her husband trusts her without reserve and never has reason to regret it.  One that a man can depend wth all his life - that's a wife worth far more than diamonds.  So the question for all women out there is...Are we trustworthy?  Can your man depend on you?

Happy Wednesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this wonderful message.  Help me Lord to become a good wife to be.  Help me to become trustworthy and dependable. Give me the strength to build this character in me.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: The Voice Of a Wise Mother
Scriptures: Proverbs 31:8-9

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus!  Proverbs 31:8-9 says...

8 Speak up for people who cannot speak for themselves. Help people who are in trouble. 9 Stand up for what you know is right, and judge all people fairly. Protect the rights of the poor and those who need help.

The Bible tells us that these wise words came from the Mother of Lemuel and upon checking further, Lemuel means one that belongs to God so He is somehow referred to King Solomon.  So if that's true, then these wise words could have come from Bathsheeba, the woman that David coveted and killed for.  If you read proverbs 31 from verse 1 to 9, you would see that this mother is speaking to a grown son and not a child anymore.  She advised him not to waste himself on women and drinks.  But I want to focus on what she told her son on what to do. She said...

1) speak up for people who cannot speak for themselves - to do this, we need to learn to listen
2) Help/Protect the rights of the poor and those who need help - we need to have the strength and resources to do this
3) Stand up for what you know is right and judge all fairly - we need to know God because He is the foundation of what is right and moral.

Her words portrayed what a King should be but her words can also be applied to anyone who is in the position of authority, whether a boss, a president, or an older brother/sister, etc. So in short, anyone of us.  So let's keep ourselves in check...have we done what we ought to do as a person in authority?

Happy Tuesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message.  Wise words from a mother who knows better than her son.  Thank You that despite the absence of my Mother, I learned from wise Mothers like Bathsheeba, on how to live right and pleasing before You.  Give me the strength to apply and really understand these words Lord that I may live it in my life.  Give me the wisdom to do what You say I should do.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Live Wisely
Scriptures: Proverbs 30:24-28

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:
Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 30:24 - 28 says...

24 There are four things on the earth that are small but very wise:

25 Ants are small and weak, but they save their food all summer;
26 badgers are small animals, but they make their homes in the rocks;
27 locusts have no king, but they are able to work together;
28 lizards are small enough to catch with your hands, but you can find them living in kings’ palaces.

There are 4 things we can learn to be wiser in our way of live from the verses above:

1) Ants - Normally, we associate hardworking from the ants but today, more than hard work, I learned from these small and weak creatures to live simple.  The key here is to save.  Clearly, they focus on saving for what they need rather than what they want.  So what I learned today from the ants, aside from working hard and saving, to work and save for what is needed like their food all summer.

2) Badgers - They build their homes in the rocks; 2 keywords I got from the badgers are homes and rocks.  Our rock is the Lord so whatever we make or build, let God be the foundation of the things we create.  Let everything our hands build stand before the Rock of Ages!  Let God be the foundation of all things we create.  Secondly, I learned that we ought to make before anything else, our homes on the Rock.  As we build our careers, our friends, church, etc on the Rock, let it be that we do not forget that we ought to build our homes/family first on Him.  If we put God as the foundation in our Career or our personal lives, let's make sure that HE is the rock we are building our family on too.

3) Locust - Unity and teamwork are two things I learned from the Locust.  It is important that although, you may not like everyone, you ought to know how to live in harmony with them.  More importantly, despite of our differences, we are able to unite and work together as one body for Christ.

4) Lizard - Living in the King's palaces; The best place to live is in the house of the Lord.  But since we are the temple of God so it is wise to ensure that our bodies are God's temple and not a vacant inn for anyone.
So let us learn from these small and weak animals for they've live wisely despite of their conditions.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for teaching me from these small and weak creatures.  Help me Lord to apply what these creatures have learned and developed despite of their conditions or shortcomings.  Help me to learn from them.  Help me to learn from the Ants to not only work hard but to save for what is important and my needs.  Help me to learn from the Badgers, who build their homes in the rocks.  Help me Lord to build my family in You.  You are my Rock!  So as much as I give effort in building my career or my personal life in You, let me put the same passion and commitment in building my family in You Lord.  Help me to learn from the Locust who learned to unite and work together even though there’s no leader to unite them.  Give me wisdom to work with others harmoniously and effectively.  Help me to build bridges with others and to work with them and be united for Your glory.  And lastly, help me to learn from the lizards who live in King’s palaces.  I want You to live in me Lord because that means living with You.  So Lord, take my  body and make it Your own.  Live in me Lord that I may always be with You forever.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Title: Don’t Be Greedy
Scriptures: Proverbs 30:15-16

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 30:15-16 says...

15 Greedy people know only two things[c]: “Give me,” and “Give me.” There are three other things that are never satisfied—really, four things that never have enough: 16 the place of death, a woman with no children, dry ground that needs rain, and a fire that will never stop by itself.

I want to focus on the first verse mentioned, the Bible says that greedy people know only two things, "Give me" and "Give me". Most of the time, people think that greedy people are people who are already wealthy but are still wanting more.  Although this is one great example to paint what greed looks like, but note that the Word of the Lord says that greedy people are not necessarily wealthy.  Instead the Bible says, greedy people are those who know only 2 things, "give me...give me".  I know people who are poor or those who have only enough who always think of what they can get from others.   These are people who make you feel like it is your duty to share your blessings to them.  Have you met this person?  Maybe once or twice or maybe even until now, you have a few of them in your life.  Or maybe you and I have been guilty of this "give me" attitude in the past or maybe until today?  So it's time to check ourselves, have we become guilty of being greedy?

Happy Freeday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message.  Thank You for warning me not to become greedy Lord.  I know that I can be guilty of this and I only want to ask or have more of You but not on other things or material things.  Help me Lord not to become a greedy person but instead fill my heart with selflessness and the passion to help and bless others. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

7 God, I ask you to do two things for me before I die. 8 Don’t let me tell lies. And don’t make me too rich or too poor—give me only enough food for each day. 9 If I have too much, I might deny that I need you, Lord. But if I am too poor, I might steal and bring shame to the name of my God.

These wise words came from Agur Son of Jakeh.  His prayer is not to protect him from liars or protecting him from becoming a victim of greedy/corrupt people instead he prayed him not to become one.   People are so fed up and disgusted of people who lie to get what they want and those who are corrupt because they are driven by greed and ambition that they don't consider/care on anyone in their way.  But we failed to realize that we are all guilty of being a liar and corrupt.  For sure there was a time in our lives that we lied for whatever reason, whether it was a white lie or a full blown deceiving lie.  And Wikipedia defines corruption as is a form of dishonest or unethical conduct by a person entrusted with a position of authority, often to acquire personal benefit.  How many times have we conducted inappropriately towards our younger siblings or anyone younger than us or friends and family to get what we want?  It can be as menial as tricking them into doing something silly to entertain us or just for laughs?  Isn't that a form of corruption too?  So before we judged others for their evil ways, let's look at the mirror like Agur here, because we may be looking in the eye at another Binay, Mar, Duterte or Poe.

Happy Thursday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for a wonderful message.  Help me Lord to apply this.  I know it will be hard on my own.  It is so easy to judge or criticize others but so hard to see my own mishaps.  Help me Lord to see my corrupt ways and change them.  Give me wisdom Lord on how to act appropriately to others and not become dishonest or unethical or selfish.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Title: Read God’s Words
Scriptures: Proverbs 30:5-6

God’s Message/Promise/Commands:

Amazing day with Jesus! Proverbs 30:5-6 says...

5 You can trust this: Every word that God speaks is true. God is a safe place for those who go to him. 6 So don’t try to change what God says. If you do, he will punish you and prove that you are a liar.

Many people today have what we call selective memory.  We only retain those we like or want to learn or keep.  This is in nature a true exercise of our gift of choice from the Lord.  However, the verses above remind us that the word of the Lord is beyond our own understanding and we cannot choose which to believe and which not to.  Yes, God is love.  He is merciful, gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love.  But the word of the Lord also says that the Lord is just.  He is righteous and treats all fairly.  So we can't justify our sins or the things we did wrong with the idea that we will not suffer the consequence because God is love. It's true that God will forgive those who ask for His forgiveness but remember that in every action comes an equal reaction.  So our actions has consequence.  Whether God has forgiven us or not, the truth remains that what we sow we reap.  It will be God's choice whether He spare us from the consequence of our actions but the truth is every action we do, whether good or bad, is a seed we plant and soon it will grow and we will harvest and reap what we have sown in due time.  So don't select just what you want to believe about the Lord.  Don't box Him and define Him as the God you want Him to be.  Read the Bible and know your One and True Almighty God!

Happy Wednesday!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for this wonderful and amazing words.  Thank You for reminding me Lord not to take Your words out of context but instead, I should read through Your words and seek Your help in fully understanding the words You speak.  Give me the wisdom Lord to know and understand every word You spoke and not to mis interpret them or believe only what I deemed true or likeable.  In Jesus' Name, Amen!
